If you are a Bowie fan, you MUST see that show. Excellent vocals and professionnal musicians. They play all Bowie's hits one after the other non stop, no intermission for 135 minutes !

    Amazing performance

by Youngster on 2018-02-27The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

I wasn't sure what to expect from this show, other than to hear some of the best songs imaginable. There were 5 alumni from David Bowie's bands on stage and they were each fantastic players as expected. Bernard Fowler did the most of the lead singing ably supported by Joe Sumner and I am sorry but I can't remember the girl singer name, even though she was terrific. The band played lots of songs that would not normally be played on stage such as Lady Grinning Soul and Andy Warhol. This was great to see and hear. All in all a great show with some terrific players. The one complaint I have is not with the performers, but with certain audience members who feel it is okay to hold their phones up to video the show, at the same time blocking your own view of the stage. Why bother the footage is always garbage any way.

Great show, but not so satisfied with setlist

by labyfan on 2018-02-26The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

Great to hear some Bowie tunes, especially played by past band members. The music of course was spot on. They had various singers, not imitators, handling the songs, which was fine. There were no screens with images of Bowie or anything fancy going on. Not much talk in between songs about Bowie or working on the albums. So no trips down memory lane, just straight to the music for the most part. I was a bit disappointed in the setlist. I had seen the setlists for previous shows and was excited for the wide range of music, covering almost every album from Space Oddity to Black Star, getting the hits and some deep cuts. But at our show the songs never went past 1977 except a bonus track from Reality. And I found it strange that that's what they opened with: Bring Me the Disco King, a slow bonus track from 2003 that not many people would know and isn't really something to get the crowd into the show right off that bat which I think is a key thing to do at a concert. Then 4 songs from Hunky Dory, 5 from Aladdin Sane (6 if you include another bonus track), 3 from Station to Station. No Man Who Sold the World, Ashes to Ashes, nothing from Let's Dance, Next Day or Black Star, all of which were in previous setlists as well as songs from Low, Lodger, Tonight, Outside, and Earthling. I know that David Bowie has such a huge wealth of music to choose from and so many amazing songs it's hard to decide which ones to do and they change it up a bit every night but it seemed like this night catered to fans of 4 core 70's albums. Definitely not for casual listeners that are looking to hear plenty of hits. I have every Bowie album so I knew every song. I don't mind non-hits in there of course, and was looking forward to hearing a song from The Next Day and Blackstar. How amazing would that be when you think about? Hearing songs from albums that unfortunately never got the live treatment. But with this setlist including a few more hits would have been more fun for all the audience to sing along and both the die-hard fans (like myself) and newbies (more like my sister) to enjoy. Overall I think it was a great show and fans of David Bowie should definitely check it out. I just wish they had stuck more closely to the well-rounded setlists they already had going, which I was so excited to hear.

    Fitting Tribute To A Superstar

by raunch on 2018-02-21The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

Totally enjoyable tribute to Bowie by a band comprised of musicians who had toured and recorded with him over his illustrious history. Terrific set list. Great evening of Bowie's music.
