This was a gift for my husband and son. VIP tickets I bought, supposedly, at $200 each!!! There were to be some takeaway items, poster? special program? they got nothing. They said it was very good and mentioned Sass Jordan in fact. Their seats were awesome, as they should be, for that price. However, even said 7:00p.m. so of course they are there even earlier from an hour or so away to find parking which we all know is impossible and the Shoppers Drug Mart lot fills up fast!!! The event did NOT start at 7:00 it was 8:00 why was this NOT printed on the ticket anywhere!!!! $40 for a t-shirt is a little excessive as well.
Went to this show not knowing what to expect , it blew me away all top notch players on stage and alot of great songs played , Sass Jordans voice on her songs that she sang was amazing , came out of this show very impressed , if you have a chance to see this show go see it , it is a great bang for your buck .
What a great time ! Wonderful group and the music was perfect ! Great Bowie sing song !
Fantastic musicians clearly loving Bowie. I had tears at some points. Bowie was a genius and missed. Soon many great songs. Good mix of obvious and deep cuts.
the title says it all unfortunately. great performers but it felt to santisised in the interpretations. also if I was Eno and heard Heroes i’d be slightly miffed. it lost that essence of the haunting backdrop
Amazing singers with an awesome setlist. One of the most energetic concerts I've attended. Thanks for bringing them. Hope to see them again in the future!
Bowie may not be on stage, however the music; the Real McCoy is what you will experience. The songs were played with feel, the vocalists interpreted the songs perfectly without trying to be a clone. I've seen 4 shows and the sound quality was always top notch. Just go !!
Joe Summer seems like a nice man, and can play guitar should never front a band. It felt amateur hour at the karaoke club. The woman who sang was okay, no stage presence though. Antoine Gratton saved the evening, but he only had one or two songs out of a long concert. They played too many obscure songs that no one knew, because, as they announced, he never recorded them, or they were never hits! Why!!!!????? They didn’t feel the crowd going dead when they did that and come to life when they did familiar songs. I wanted to “celebrate Bowie” as promised. I needed closure. But it left me angry and unimpressed.
Show was ok. Set list was very surprising as we were expecting more of the popular Bowie classic's. No Modern Love? Queen Bitch? China Girl? Never really got into the show which was disappointing....
First of all, the show was great; the sound was fantastic, the venue is not too tightly packed if you are on the floor and the waiter will find you to bring your beer near the stage. Amazing ! If these guys come back, you need to see them. 4 guest singers who were all incredible and you almost forgot it wasn't Bowie singing. A 5 star rating. Only bummer is that I bought 2 "VIP" tickets at $150 a piece. The tickets had numbered seats (Seat # 20 & 21) so I assumed we had reserved seats, but the local Security just said "that's a mistake and that's not our problem. You are General Admission, so go stand somewhere". Thanks a lot ....
