One of the best concerts I’ve been to

by Sue on 2019-12-07Clarke Theatre Foundation - Mission

I had never seen Chantal Kreviazuk perform before. I was pleasantly surprised — not only is she an amazing musician and songwriter with a beautiful voice, but she was so funny and genuine. She told a story about almost every song she performed, and really involved the audience and made it an interactive experience. The venue was perfect for an intimate performance.

    Lovely Chantal!

by Gristmill on 2019-12-07Century Casino - Edmonton

Beautiful lady, beautiful voice, wicked sense of humour -- such a Canadian treasure. The venue did not do her justice -- hard to see with various showroom platforms, and tables. Had difficulty finding the numbered tables and the staff we asked did not seem to know their venue layout -- spent about 10 minutes finding the table (in no logical numerical order). I'd much rather see this artist in a venue like Winspear, next time -- but her voice and show are superb!

    Amazing evening

by Dmckay on 2019-12-07Clarke Theatre Foundation - Mission

Chantal was incredible! Her voice was lovely, I was close enough to watch her amazing piano playing skills and I love the Christmas songs, they embody the Christmas spirit. Sal was amazing! You must be so proud of your sweet boy!

    Absofrigginlutely Amazing!!!!

by WolfmanMac on 2019-12-07Clarke Theatre Foundation - Mission

This is what live shows should be all about. It was her, a piano and a Christmas tree. She talked and told stories between almost every song, engaged with the audience at all times, even in the middle of a song(!), and told jokes. It was like sitting in her living room for the evening. Just an amazing evening that will never be forgotten.

Seats that should be good aren’t

by Purple Angel on 2019-12-07Clarke Theatre Foundation - Mission

I had front row seats on the right side (B1,2) there is no A. Couldn’t see her because of the piano and couldn’t understand what she was saying most of the time, as speakers were facing towards middle. When singing she was good however between the seat location and the sound, it was not a great experience for the price paid for the seats.

Amazingly Talented Singer, but Poor Venue

by Alooshia on 2019-11-26Century Casino - Edmonton

Chantal was amazing, she made the concert! Beautiful vocals, witty humour and down to earth chatter with the crowd. Sound as lighting were poor. Amp for vocals wax turned up so high vocals sounded screachy. This venue doesn’t suit Chantal. I saw her years ago at the Jubilee auditorium and it was next to none. Couple inappropriately groping each other were so unclassy. Security could have stopped that much sooner- was uncomfortable for all.

    Incredible

    by R. D. on 2019-11-26Century Casino - Edmonton

Between the insightful stories told in her humor & the songs Chantal is my favorite artist to see live.

Not as Promoted, Too Much Talking

by Rob on 2019-11-26Century Casino - Edmonton

The venue did not promote this concert properly. It was 90% a Christmas concert, and a very poor one. The music choices were mediocre and so were the performances. The humor fell flat each time the performer joked, talking way too much during the songs while interrupting the tracks. Really disappointing. I really used to love this artist.

    Disappointing Venue

    by p. h. on 2019-11-26Century Casino - Edmonton

Chantal is an amazing artist with an amazing voice. We were so disappointed in the venue. The acoustics were not good. We were at the back of the room and could only make out 1/2 of what she said when she spoke. We felt the venue sabotaged her sound as opposed to enhanced it as a venue should.

    A little disappointed

by Bigexpectations on 2016-12-04The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

We have seen Chantal several times and love her. We were so excited to see her at The DMH. Her voice is amazing but she talked way too much. We like her banter but this was extreme. A little bit full of herself to be honest. She also didn't play enough old stuff. Like her new album but she needed to get the crowd going. Would hesitate to go again.

    Such a great Canadian talent

by DavidLaB on 2016-11-16National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

Have been an admirer of Chantal's for a long time but until this concert had never heard her "live" and my wife and I were blown away. What a powerful voice, talented musician, outstanding and poignant song writer. Throughout the show experienced a wide range of emotions from laughter to tears, admiration of her skill and talent and her strong feelings of family, social responsibility and her clear love for Canada. Can't wait for her to return to Ottawa again and we will be there!!

    Chantal was amazing!

by Solange on 2016-11-15National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

Chantal Kreviazuk was truly amazing! She is an incredible pianist and her voice is pure and beautiful. The concert was very personal as she shared family stories and anecdotes throughout. Chantal is also very funny and kept the audience entertained between songs. The highlight was having Justin and Sophie among us and Chantal inviting Sophie down to sit and sing with her at the piano! Loved it! This concert surpassed my expectations in so many ways!

Chantal Kreviasuik was unforgettable and amazing!!

by Wildworks on 2016-11-14Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Wonderful seating at the front of theatre right in front of Chantal made for an intimate and engaging concert experience. Hometown girl but wow! Loved the music and stories. I'd go again anytime she swings by the city!
