CHARLI XCX IN CONCERT:

Charli XCX confirms ‘Crash’ The Live Tour 2023 in Brisbane and Melbourne this coming February-March.

UK’s exhilarating figure of the arts will play The Tivoli, Brisbane on Tuesday 28 February and Northcote Theatre, Melbourne on Thursday 2 March.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Born in the British town of Stevenage, Charli XCX, a.k.a. Charlotte Emma Aitchison, began writing songs at age 14. Her 2008 debut album, simply titled 14, received an unofficial, promotional-only release, leaving her a relative unknown until 2011 when she was featured on tracks by Alex Metric and Starkey. Later in the year she generated significant buzz with the singles "Stay Away" and "Nuclear Sessions", both of which garnered Best New Track nods from Pitchfork. The songs ended up on her 2013 major label debut True Romance, a critical and commercial success that peaked at No. 5 on the US Heatseekers Albums Chart. With her sophomore album hitting shelves in 2014, Charli continues to prove her prowess with electrifying performances on tour.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Had a blast, and Charli's vocals sound exactly like her recordings. Good crowd, upbeat vibe, nice set, I loved it!"

"...Charli gave an electrical performance and clearly gave it her all. She sounds just as good (if not better) than she does on her album True Romance."

"Charli XCX proves that electro-pop doesn't need to be generic. She brings a great spin to the genre that keeps fans enthralled with her music. She displays such a great stage presence with a maturity well beyond her 19 years."

    Let’s Ride!!!

    by Christos on 2022-11-08

Charli is one of the most fun artists I’ve seen live. The Crash show was chaotic in all the best ways, her dancing was great, love autotune was a fun touch and her crowd interaction was both hilarious and simply fun. As a gay I strongly suggestion u take ur best friends and party with Charli.

I LOVED Charli XCX's show a lot. She was of course amazing—an incredible performer, amazing songs, spectacular dancer. And I've never seen a more euphorically engaged crowd! Ever! The energy was electric. The crowd was diverse and welcoming and just gave off such a beautiful vibe and energy. It was a very memorable night for me

    Great venue...encore was fantastic

    by C. on 2019-10-08Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

The commodore is always fantastic. I found her set list disappointing. Her new music is very different from before and I wish she had played more of her old stuff. The encore was amazing...playing Boys, 1999 and I love it.
