Was not long enough needs to come to Brandon Manitoba
was kind of dissapointed one of his band memebers left half way through the show, (hope hes OK) i am not sure if that was a contributing factor why they didnt come on for a encore. However i have driven as fair as Calgary (im from edmonton) just to see his shows. EVERYTHING was great at the yellowhead casino show as it is everywhere else i see him.
I always wanted to see Charlie Major in concert from the time I was a little kid. I was finally able to see him November in Calgary. He Sounds as good in concert as on his studio albums and is a down to earth special man. He played all of my favourite stuff and His band that was playing with him on November 19th was fantastic. They were in tune, the vocals were great and everyone seemed to be having a lot of fun. You still have it Charlie, keep making people happy and keep touring!
I would recommend this event - he played all the hits and I was able to sing along. The only odd thing was he left the stage after 1 song and was gone quite a while. He came back and apologized saying he had to go to the bathroom. He should have said that first then people wouldn't have been wondering what happened.
Charlie Major proves that a great voice survives the passage of a few years. He sounds in live performance as good or better than his recordings, no Auto-Tune required here! Also special to see an artist who writes all his own songs and can perform them so well. Liked the fact that it was a no nonsense show, not a lot of between song filler. Great band that seemed to be having a good time doing what they do, probably not always easy on a long busy tour.
This concert was one of the best concerts I have been too! He is an amazing singer! Venue was great! It was so great to Beable to meet him and get a picture with him!
My husband and I had a fantastic time at the Charlie Major concert. I didn't know too many of his songs, but found out that they are really catchy songs. The whole crowd was stomping their feet and clapping to the beat of the music. A lot of people went down into the pit to get close and dance. The sound of the music was excellent -very clear. Our seats were good too. We had seats in the centre of the venue so was very pleased with them, and still close enough that we had a good view. I was surprised to see such a diverse age group at the concert. There were a lot of young people, as well as older people. Charlie Major really gets the crowd involved in the concert, by getting them to sing along, and clap. He even did an encore!
We really enjoyed Charlie Major, again! Third time we have seen him and he puts on a great show every time! Great to hear some good ol' country music!! My 22 yr old daughter and her boyfriend attended this show with us, and thoroughly enjoyed it as well! Just excellent!
Fantastic performance! Second time experiencing him in concert, and wouldn't hesitate to go again. Highly recommended!!!
AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!!! only bad thing is the tent is wayyyyyyyy too crowded and should be all open and spread out like it was years ago! And drink prices are REDICULOUS!!!! Other than that Aaron is always great and a pleasure to see!! Should have had a meet n greet or something with all the artists though!
With a new and upgraded venue for the Rainmaker Music Festival, the organizers had thought they were with the times. WRONG!! The days of serving beer in plastic glasses after pouring them from cans is old. Is there that little faith in the public or the ability to provide security that a person cannot be allowed to walk around with a 'can of beer' in their hand. While Alberta has some of the most progressive alcohol laws in the country, some people still find it hard to continue to move forward and allow the benefit of enjoying a drink in the same manner you can at home. And maybe if they didn't have to spend all that money on beer glasses the price of drink wouldn't have been so high. $6.00 per seemed a bit pricey for me. And who knows, my guess is consumption may have been a bit less if beer was out of a can because typically its a slower pour and not as easy to guzzle. Just a thought. On another note, having standup tables throughout the tent would have been a nice touch as well and offered more comfort for the people in attendance and an opportunity to place your drink down and oh I don't know clap for the presentation. Venue is great but shame on you organizers for your shortsightedness and not planning completely for your audience. After all we do pay the bills at the end of the day.
I was under the impression that there was limited seating available so didn't take any lawn chairs, suggestion to the organizing committee perhaps rent lawn chairs
Another great show by Charlie. Can't wait til he's in town again.
Thoroughly enjoyed the show. The band came out on stage and played non-stop for an hour and a half - then back for a 2-song encore ! The sound was fabulous and the venue was great. Look forward to attending more shows in the future.
The first half of the program was a little slow, a little depressing. The second half of the show was brilliant.
I've been a fan for years and it's nice to see that the years have not slowed him down or changed his enthusiasm for performing.
Great concert - played a lot of his older well known music as well as some newer stuff. Enjoyed the venue - good seating, excellent sound and appreciated the fact that you could take an adult beverage to your seat to drink during the performance. Excellent show!!!
i got a hug from charlie!! this is the second year my friends and i have travelled from thompson mb to winnipeg to see charlie, except this year we were front row center and it was absolutely amazing and i actually got 2 hugs 1 during the show and one after. mcphillips street station is a wonderful venue for this type of show it makes it so much more personal than the mts center and other large venues..
The venue was great and Charlie's performance was outstanding. Lots a variety with his music ... Songs everyone knew and sharing some of his new songs from an upcoming CD to be released in the spring. He displayed a great sense of humour and always smiling, seemed like he was really having fun.
The whole concert was great! I really appreciated how Charlie took time for the audience and interacted! Only one thing could have made it better for me....if he would have sang My Brother & Me! Next time!
