About

CHELSEA GRIN IN CONCERT:

Salt Lake City deathcore outfit Chelsea Grin has been melting the faces of metalheads everywhere with their dark, ferocious sound and epic live shows. On stage the band unleashes their extreme metal with savage ferocity and inhuman precision, whipping fans into a frenzy with a triple guitar onslaught, snaking basslines, and thundering drums. Frontman Alex Koehler lords over the mayhem with rabid intensity, menacingly growling his macabre lyrics about hell and damnation as if possessed by a demon. Fans in the crowd feed off his fiery passion, chanting ritualistically between songs and moshing with reckless abandon to the bandís breakneck tempos and bludgeoning riffs. As Chelsea Grin tears through brutal jams like ìCrewcabangerî and ìRecreantî, ticket buyers are fully immersed in the maelstrom of their hard-hitting sound.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Chelsea Grin formed in 2007 and found a fanbase almost immediately after uploading the tracks ìCrewcabangerî and ìLifelessî to Myspace. Following the release of a self-titled EP in 2008 they signed with Artery Records and issued their 2010 debut album Desolation of Eden to a No. 21 spot on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. Their sophomore album My Damnation was an even bigger success, reaching No. 6 on the Hard Rock chart and leading to tours with bands like Attila and After the Burial. The band was a touring juggernaut between 2012-2014, hitting Europe several times and also rocking stateside fans with two stints on the Vans Warped Tour. Their third album, 2014ís Ashes to Ashes, was another commercial success, reaching No. 4 on the Hard Rock chart and drawing them out on several headlining tours. Following the 2016 release of their decibel-shattering single ìSkin Deepî and news that they signed on with Rise Records, Chelsea Grin promised fans that their fourth album would be their ìmost aggressive release to dateî.

  • WHAT A SHOW

by mcnuts on 2025-04-13The Danforth Music Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I gotta say my first time seeing any of these bands live after listening to them for years and WHAT A SHOW!! all the bands played phenomenally and Chelsea grin absolutely killed it. Toms interactions with the crowd as well as his playful attitude made it well worth it. I know they said the one bandmates back was injured and they didn't disappoint at all they pushed through as a group and DELIVERED

  • Stage dive

Best part of the night was Tom Barbers stage dive and the 13 year old kid coming on stage with Tom.

  • Good show, bad venue experience

by Lilith on 2025-04-12The Danforth Music Hall - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

The bands were awesome. sadly, left before Chelsea Grin went on because had to meet some people and hang out with people from the other bands. Only a 5 star for the show 1 star for the venue because they don't allow backpacks at all even when they're empty and make you go down the a few doors to another location where it's not even run by live nation and they charge more than the venues coat check. literally brought a backpack to put purchased merch in and couldn't even keep it at the premises. Livenation puts in metal detectors and wand detectors and checks everyone coming in and out, i see absolutely no reason backpacks can't be allowed. The signs also say so open flames, yet the security guards had zero issues with any lighters that we had, including a pocket sized torch as well as glass pipes for cannabis use were okay, which could technically be used to cause damage. The venues in the city were so much better before livenation started buying them all up. I'm glad that there are still a few venues not owned by them, but the days are numbered until all of the venues are owned by live nation. can you say oligarchy with me?
