About

Childish Gambino is the stage name of Donald Glover, a rapper, actor, writer, producer and multi-hyphenate from Stone Mountain, Georgia. The DeKalb County native self-released a number of mixtapes from 2008 to 2010 before starring in the NBC comedy Community for five seasons. While appearing as Troy Barnes in the cult comedy series, the rapper dropped his debut album, Camp, in 2011. He followed that LP in 2013 with his sophomore effort Because the Internet and earned his first Grammy nominations for Album of the Year and Record of the Year for his 2013 studio set Awaken, My Love! and its single “Redbone,” respectively. In 2018, Glover unveiled his politically charged single “This Is America.” The track went viral thanks to its cinematic music video, hitting No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and winning the artist four Grammys including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Music Video and Best Rap/Sung Performance. In 2020, Glover surprise-released his fourth album 3.15.20 on his website, where it played on loop for just 12 hours. It was officially released a week later. He plans to drop two albums (his final two as Childish Gambino) — Atavista and Bando Stone & the New World — throughout 2024 ahead of The New World Tour.

  • Childish Gambino ~ Best Ever!

I bought the tickets for my daughter. She said it was the best concert she's ever been to and she wanted to watch it over and over and over. The crowd was singing every song along with GB.

He had tonnes of energy and really seemed to enjoy himself up there. I got there an hour and a half before doors opened and I got to sit in the front row. Fantastic.

  • Amazing show at echo beach!

One of the best concerts I've ever been too! He really knows how to put on a show and get the crowd going, just couldn't get enough of it, wish I could go to all his concerts! Go see him live now! You won't regret it one bit!

  • Childish GAMBINO!

by Twisted89 on 2012-08-02Echo Beach powered by Rogers - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The show was AWESOME! Gambino destroyed the show. Would go to his show an infinite times. Tickets I purchased was bad due to the "VIP Section", but I still had fun. Wasted more money than I needed to on tickets, but I ain't even mad. Would I buy the same tickets again? hell no. Definitely recommend going to his show if you ever get a chance. Good energy, good vibe, good music. Regarding the VIP seating: The VIP section was horrible, did not bother to sit there, I went to the center with the "General Admission" ticket holders. VIP Section way too overpriced for what they were, regret paying for them such a waste. Not so upset about it now because Gambino put on an AMAZING show. But would not recommend buying VIP tickets for Echo Beach unless you confirmed the seating arrangements are better for the money you are spending. The VIP section was on a patio & was located to the far side and you view the stage from quite a distance. The point of buying the VIP is for sure for better seating (among other little perks) & the seating was horrible in this case.

  • Childish Gambino was Incredible and Explosive

by RosieDtp on 2012-08-02Echo Beach powered by Rogers - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Childish Gambino was an all around amazing show the venue was on a great place on a great night. Even after jus healing his foot he still put on a great show and was his regular explosive self hopping all over the stage and havin just as muh fun as the audience which is always good to see. Seeing an actual artist perform well and sound better then there album is always a success and few and far between these days. His such an amazing role model I got a good reminder of why I'm in the music buisness. Not to mention the venue was well put up and went pretty seamless do I give props to the whole crew. Other then that I can't wait till the day I can see him again

  • Top 5 Show

by TheSage on 2012-08-02Echo Beach powered by Rogers - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Great show by Childish Gambino. The stage was big enough, but not small enough for him, and the outdoor beach venue was a perfect spot for this concert. Gambino was solid throughout the whole show, even apologizing for the March show being cancelled. Great show, fun times, top 5 concert experience

  • Just awesome.

by bustado on 2012-08-02Echo Beach powered by Rogers - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

From start to finish this was a fantastic show! I just wish people would decide on one spot and stay there! It's incredibly annoying when people keep looking for better positioning throughout the show.

Awesome show, the comedy was really good so I would have liked to see more stand-up. But the concert was wicked regardless.

Didn't know what to expect at first upon arriving at the show, but I knew I loved him in Community and he is always funny on talk shows. His stand up was hilarious and his music was amazing. Downloaded the EP as soon as I got home.
