    Musical Thrill

by cidly1 on 2017-11-27Bell MTS Place (Formerly MTS Centre) - Winnipeg

The people who performed the acts were marvellous and exciting. The roller scaketers and the giant wheel act were very breath taking.

    It was underwhelming

by Anonymous on 2017-11-27Bell MTS Place (Formerly MTS Centre) - Winnipeg

I was disappointed in the show. The production was very minimal. The music was average. It was not all Xmas music which is what I expected. Although I do appreciate the talent of the performers it did not have the "cirque" quality that I expected. I would not recommend it.

    Cirque in name only

by Nofannomore on 2017-11-27Bell MTS Place (Formerly MTS Centre) - Winnipeg

Only one word I can use to describe BELIEVE - BORING! Billed as family entertainment, my grandson (7) fell asleep before intermission and my granddaughter (4) just wanted to go home during the second half. Will think twice before attending another Cirque production in an arena venue.

    very good overall

by lizardqueen on 2017-11-27Bell MTS Place (Formerly MTS Centre) - Winnipeg

i will start by saying that the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra was absolutely flawless and sounded beautiful! the woman who sang for some of the songs was also incredible, she has a similar voice to celine dion in my opinion. now for the cirque aspect: i feel like a few of the performers and acts were not as polished as a full blown cirque show would have been, but they were entertaining nonetheless. the ballerinas were often not in sync, and the young hoop spinner/juggler had a few bobbles in each of his acts. one of the scarf performers seemed unsure of herself and struggled to stay in sync with her partner. the strongmen were charming, but again, not as polished as others that i have seen. the most impressive acts had to be the roller skaters and the final act with the apparatus that hung from the roof and was propelled by the performers. the other performers were good, and i can very much appreciate their talents. the "waiter" character was also fun, perhaps a bit silly at times, but he made it especially fun during the 12 days of Christmas song. overall, the show was very good, the music was matched very well to each act. i enjoyed it but would probably not go again.

    NOT what we expected...

by Jizzy on 2017-11-27Bell MTS Place (Formerly MTS Centre) - Winnipeg

We had amazing seats! The view of the stage was so sweet with all Christmas decorations and the lighting . The Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra was beautiful and so talented! Their music was unbelievable!! We were disappointed because other than 2-3 amazing performances, that show was NOT worth 70$!! If the WSO, wasn't there , the show would of been super boring. Don't waste that much money for that!

    Entertaining

by SnowWhite on 2017-11-27Bell MTS Place (Formerly MTS Centre) - Winnipeg

Loved listening to holiday music played by the symphony, but I was expecting more of a Cirque du Soleil calibre show. To be honest I felt like I was watching a show at a resort while at a vacation destination. It was entertaining and I'm glad I went, but I was expecting more.

Music/singing was great, cirque performers disappo

by KRKG on 2017-11-27Bell MTS Place (Formerly MTS Centre) - Winnipeg

A little bit disappointed with the Cirque portion of the performance. More circus-like than acrobat. WSO performance was seamless

    BELIEVE was unbelievable!

by Go2Theatre on 2017-11-27Bell MTS Place (Formerly MTS Centre) - Winnipeg

We attended BELIEVE with a friend who is here visiting from Brasil. The three of us were thrilled with the production! The Winnipeg Symphony was perfect! It got us all in the holiday spirit. The Cirque performance was fabulous! Every act was breathtaking!

    Cirque Musica

by SanHic on 2017-11-27Bell MTS Place (Formerly MTS Centre) - Winnipeg

My friend and I were quite disappointed with the show. The orchestra, the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra was really good, the singer, name not given, was quite good, most of the acrobats also good. But then they threw in these fillers that made the whole show seem very juvenile. Would not recommend seeing this venue, especially, if by the name one thinks that is has anything to to with Cirque de Soleil or that it compares to Cirque to Soleil.

    Nice But Underwhelming

by honeybat on 2016-12-08MTS Centre - Winnipeg

Was very excited for a Cirque show that combined the talent of the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra with acrobatics and holiday music. Took my mother, who doesn't ever attend events unless I drag her out. We enjoyed it but it was definitely underwhelming. I have been to 4 other Cirque shows (in Winnipeg and Las Vegas) and this was very small scale in comparison. The stage area was tiny, the props and costumes were minimal, and the acrobatic action was subdued (not a whole lot going on). The singing was ok (not a "powerhouse" voice that you'd expect with songs like Ava Maria) and there were sound issues (feedback, screeching sounds, and the orchestra sound quality is a lot better in the venue of Centennial Concert Hall).

    Not that great

by PastPrime on 2016-12-07MTS Centre - Winnipeg

The symphony was lovely and the performers did an OK job, but overall it wasn't that great of a show:( I always question when the host needs to say how great the next act will be and then it isn't!! The ticket price was on the high end of what we got for the show.

    Cirque Musica

by twinkhp on 2016-12-05MTS Centre - Winnipeg

Nice holiday music and the show was in the flavour of cirque du soleil but definitely not at their level for theatricality and keeping the action moving at all times. Quite enjoyable. Singer was good.

    it was meh.

    by Sandy545454545 on 2016-12-05MTS Centre - Winnipeg

My expectations were not met. It was okay. The lighting was not very good. The stage seemed so small with the WSO and the performers on there together.

    Cirque Musica Holiday Spectacular

    by music49 on 2016-12-03MTS Centre - Winnipeg

It was certainly not as advertised. The lighting was off, it was all done in slow motion, I recognized maybe 3 Christmas songs. All I can say is BORING. How can they get away charging what they did for an hour and a half of "Amateur Performers". DISGRACEFUL.

Not the Big Leagues of Cirque

    by Unknown2016 on 2016-12-03MTS Centre - Winnipeg

I have been to other Cirque shows but this one missed the mark. The fact that they only had one tiny Christmas tree on the side of the stage to "sell" the fact it was a Christmas themed show was ridiculous. There was barely any stage props and the production of the show felt like it was put together by amateurs. The costumes were nothing spetacular. The acts were OK. The Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra was part of the show and I believe they made the show. Our seats were on the side and our view was slightly blocked by a black current that was placed on the edges of the stage to "block" the people waiting to come on stage but it blocked our view more than anything. I don't remember seeing a potential blocked view when buying the tickets but our tickets weren't cheap, $75 bucks.
