Very juvenile production. Event was at the grey eagle casino so venue was not ideal for being able to see everything that was going on. Based on promo video the actual show was not even close to what was advertised. Disappointing.
This performance was quite a let down. While I understand the difficulty of some of the acts, it still came across as very amateurish and underprepared. We ended up leaving at intermission.
Low budget, poor production. Horrible sound equipment. Not entertaining at all. We left 5 minutes after the second half started. We noticed many people leaving as we did complaining about the price for such a poorly produced project.
This was not even close to a Big Top cirque de soleil. Barely any gymnastics or aerobatics. My 2 kids 13 and 16 both commented that it wasnt that great.
The show was definitely meant more for children and families. I found the sound was not the best when actors talked. A lot of down time in between acts and I definitely overpaid for what I saw.
This was by far the worst performance we've experienced. The voice over timing was off, the performers didnt know thier material, the light show didnt work, timings were all off, you could see the backstage crew running around, they sold seats where you didnt have line of sight to the stage because they wouldnt turn off the overhead lights and you were blinded. Crowds of people left at the intermission (because a 30 min performance needs a 15 min intermission). Can't comment on the second half of the show because I value my time more than this experience. This wasnt even entertaining for the children. If you enjoy watching a guy struggle to do some yoga on stage, and a few corny jokes by an elf that you probably wont hear because thier microphones didnt work for the first while, go ahead and scoop up some tickets. You can probably just show up to the venue and take places with someone that is leaving ;)
The Holiday Dreams Cirque show was a Holiday joke. I have seen many different types of shows, from Cirque Du Soleil, B grade Cirque acts, theaters, and concerts. This was more like a Highschool talent show. Do not waste your money. We left at intermission.
The event was definitely geared towards a younger audience! They seemed very unprepared. It felt like we were watching a dress rehearsal as they had technical issues, the set/prop changes looked sloppy, the lights weren’t cantered on the screens. Mics were low volume so hard to hear in stands and they did up close magic tricks so you couldn’t see from far away as they weren’t on a screen. Disappointed with the show overall. Many people left early.
Many people in the audience around us felt the same way. This did not seem like the real Cirque du Soleil at all. We were expecting what we normally get from a Cirque show. This was like an amateurish, high school production.
