CLINT BLACK IN CONCERT:
Country superstar Clint Black knows a thing or two about penning a catchy tune – he's got more than 20 No. 1 singles under his belt, and his hit-filled live shows have the feel of a greatest hits tour. It makes him something of a maverick in a genre where many artists record music written by other songwriters. Black has spent the bulk of his career singing his own songs, and it's served him well. His penchant for witty puns and clever turns of phrase is on full display in concert – both in the lyrics of favorites like "A Better Man" and during his amusing between-song banter. With his warm baritone voice, killer harmonica playing, and catalog of clever-mouthed hits, Clint Black is a must-see for ticket buyers who like their classic country served straight-up.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Clint Patrick Black was born in New Jersey but raised in the Houston suburb of Katy, TX. He grew up playing music with his family, and by his teens he had serious chops on both the guitar and the harmonica. Black cut his teeth as a singer performing with his brothers in a family band, and he eventually dropped out of high school to play music full-time. He spent the bulk of the '80s working odd jobs while moonlighting as a country performer, and in 1989 he got his big break when RCA signed him and released his debut album Killin' Time. The record spawned five consecutive country No. 1s, making him a star overnight and earning him several Academy of Country Music Awards including Album of the Year and Top Male Vocalist. His chart run continued in the '90s with a string of Top 10 albums and chart-topping hits like "A Good Run of Bad Luck" and "Nothin' But the Taillights." Black parted ways with RCA in the early '00s and took a few years off to start a family, and in 2004 he returned with his eighth album Spend My Time, which he released on his own label Equity Music Group. Critics hailed the album as his most adventurous outing to-date, and Black has remained prolific ever since, consistently delivering both in the studio and on tour.

Started slow but grew better with every tune and was the best when interacting with the crowd
The Clint Black concert at the Club Regent Casino was a fabulous show! He really knew how to get the crowd involved and feel like he really wanted to be there to share his music and memories with us. Clint Black and his band were glowing with smiles and excitement, just as the crowd was thrilled to have them there. I think CB is a wonderful performer and has a special talent with people! I really enjoyed singing along, dancing, clapping and being apart of the lively crowd at the Clint Black concert.
I have never seen an artist so clearly in love with his music. Clint wrote or co-wrote the majority of his set and nurtured every song as if it was one of his children. The band came out and played - PERIOD. Nobody climbed to the top of the room on a ladder; nobody set themselves on fire. Country music - straight, simple and oh, so clean. Black's voice is as high and clear as it ever was. While Clint is "Killin' Time" he is having a "Good Run" of the best of luck. Thank you for the years of chart toppers on the "Left and Right". I know I left there a "Better Man".
Clint has a great voice and is a true talent!!! I grew up listening to his music and am thrilled to have seen him live! :)
It was good but very subdued. People enjoyed it, but had to be encouraged to participate
The fact that he had a story behind every song made me like his music even more than what I all ready did. He's a very good performer and a little bit of a comedy side to him, which made the show even better. He knows how to grab the attention of a crowd.
The concert was excellent. Clint Black still knows how to deliver. He was very entertaining. He always had funny stories to tell between songs which adds just a bit more to a concert. He sounds just as good as ever. My all time favorite was when he sang Desperado. I was waiting through the whole concert to hear it and he came back and performed it for the encore. That made the concert complete. Would go back to see him again and again.....
Clint has an amazing voice and #1 performer. His shows never fail to entertain and provide a great experience.
He did a great job. It was a good concert sounded great, funny have seen him before. He sounds just like his albums fantastic great show.
Great show he played all his old songs and some I didnt know. with no breaks. Show lasted about 2 hours. He didnt have anyone open for him
Clint Black gave a great performance playing a mixture of older and newer music.
Clint Black is talent personified. Whether live or in studio, his music shows how talented he is. I literally had tears falling from my face when he sang Better Man. State of Mind is one of hes best and it really tells how profound music can be to ones life. He played and made the audience laugh for two hours. A full show from one of country's finest professionals. Todays artists just can't match up, no matter what radio thinks. I hope he returns and witha new release. I would love to hear some new Clint Black music. -a happy fan!
He was very charming, I especially loved his deep voice
Great voice, funny stories, cute dimples and simple good time country hits one after another-what more could you want! Played almost 2 hours and he and his band were super!!
My husband and myself have never seen Clint Black live and we were totally amazed at this man - his sense of humor was super, he talked with the crowd and made jokes throughout, which was really good - sang his awesome songs. We were just so happy to have come to see him. Will be getting his latest record too. He put on an unforgettable performance.
