CLINT BLACK IN CONCERT:
Country superstar Clint Black knows a thing or two about penning a catchy tune – he's got more than 20 No. 1 singles under his belt, and his hit-filled live shows have the feel of a greatest hits tour. It makes him something of a maverick in a genre where many artists record music written by other songwriters. Black has spent the bulk of his career singing his own songs, and it's served him well. His penchant for witty puns and clever turns of phrase is on full display in concert – both in the lyrics of favorites like "A Better Man" and during his amusing between-song banter. With his warm baritone voice, killer harmonica playing, and catalog of clever-mouthed hits, Clint Black is a must-see for ticket buyers who like their classic country served straight-up.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Clint Patrick Black was born in New Jersey but raised in the Houston suburb of Katy, TX. He grew up playing music with his family, and by his teens he had serious chops on both the guitar and the harmonica. Black cut his teeth as a singer performing with his brothers in a family band, and he eventually dropped out of high school to play music full-time. He spent the bulk of the '80s working odd jobs while moonlighting as a country performer, and in 1989 he got his big break when RCA signed him and released his debut album Killin' Time. The record spawned five consecutive country No. 1s, making him a star overnight and earning him several Academy of Country Music Awards including Album of the Year and Top Male Vocalist. His chart run continued in the '90s with a string of Top 10 albums and chart-topping hits like "A Good Run of Bad Luck" and "Nothin' But the Taillights." Black parted ways with RCA in the early '00s and took a few years off to start a family, and in 2004 he returned with his eighth album Spend My Time, which he released on his own label Equity Music Group. Critics hailed the album as his most adventurous outing to-date, and Black has remained prolific ever since, consistently delivering both in the studio and on tour.

The fact that he had a story behind every song made me like his music even more than what I all ready did. He's a very good performer and a little bit of a comedy side to him, which made the show even better. He knows how to grab the attention of a crowd.
The concert was excellent. Clint Black still knows how to deliver. He was very entertaining. He always had funny stories to tell between songs which adds just a bit more to a concert. He sounds just as good as ever. My all time favorite was when he sang Desperado. I was waiting through the whole concert to hear it and he came back and performed it for the encore. That made the concert complete. Would go back to see him again and again.....
Clint has an amazing voice and #1 performer. His shows never fail to entertain and provide a great experience.
He did a great job. It was a good concert sounded great, funny have seen him before. He sounds just like his albums fantastic great show.
Great show he played all his old songs and some I didnt know. with no breaks. Show lasted about 2 hours. He didnt have anyone open for him
Clint Black gave a great performance playing a mixture of older and newer music.
Clint Black is talent personified. Whether live or in studio, his music shows how talented he is. I literally had tears falling from my face when he sang Better Man. State of Mind is one of hes best and it really tells how profound music can be to ones life. He played and made the audience laugh for two hours. A full show from one of country's finest professionals. Todays artists just can't match up, no matter what radio thinks. I hope he returns and witha new release. I would love to hear some new Clint Black music. -a happy fan!
He was very charming, I especially loved his deep voice
Great voice, funny stories, cute dimples and simple good time country hits one after another-what more could you want! Played almost 2 hours and he and his band were super!!
My husband and myself have never seen Clint Black live and we were totally amazed at this man - his sense of humor was super, he talked with the crowd and made jokes throughout, which was really good - sang his awesome songs. We were just so happy to have come to see him. Will be getting his latest record too. He put on an unforgettable performance.
Clint Black was great!! He has a great sense of humor, and is an awesome talent. His performance was wonderful. The venue was beautiful, and the hotel is new and super clean. It was an outstanding evening!!
Two hours of great show, the humor and music was great.
The concert was awesome but to short no opening act. He had some funny moments.
Great music, Great musicians and Clints connection to the audience was excellent
Being a radio show club member I was eligible for pre-sale tickets and got row 2 seats. It was amazing to see him so close and personal. River Cree being a smaller venue there really was no bad seat but ROW 2 was incredible. I will have a great memory of seeing him live and in concert, and he's so funny too.
Great show with good interaction with audience. Seating was not nearly as good as I had expected, too far over to the left of the stage and Clint spent most of his time a centre stage or over to the right side. A talented group of musicians as you would expect.
Excellent show, fabulous group of very talented guys, Clint Black was terrific, enjoyed every minute. The venue at River Cree Resort & Casino was outstanding, the staff is great, and I'll definitely attend more shows there.
He's funny~ He's cute~ And a great songwriter and singer. A wonderful evening listening to a true country superstar.
My husband and I went to see Clint last night at the River Cree Resort & Casino here in Edmonton and we were blown away by the show. It was a treat to see such a talented singer and musician in this kind of intimate venue. Clint is a charming, talented entertainer that had the whole crowd on its feet. His band is extremely talented, the sound was amazing and Clint delivered hit after hit. We would definitely go and see Clint and his band again, and we hope to see them all back in Edmonton very very soon! A wonderful evening!!
