    Clutch is sick

by JoeS1234 on 2009-09-17The Phoenix Concert Theatre - Toronto

Clutch is totally sweet. If you haven't heard their groovy, heavy, rifftacular sound yet, get out there. Neil Fallon also has one of the sweetest beards i've ever seen. Just sayin'...

    Clutchapolozza

by ClutchAholic on 2009-09-17The Phoenix Concert Theatre - Toronto

Judging from my title, one might guess i enjoy CLUTCH, well that would be an understatement....I would sell my soul (if i had one) to experience them again. This was my second time seeing the band, and they did not disappoint...wait a minute...they did, ....no 'Release the Kraken', 'Willie Nelson', 'Rock n'Roll Outlaw or Frankenstein' for me...BUT i did get a fine serving of 'Profits of Doom', 'Power Player', "50,000 Unstoppable Watts" and much, much more.....good times. This show was tops in my books. The venue was wired for sound and cozy, but not claustrophobic cozy. As a fellow patron remarked, "There's not a bad seat in the house!'....agreed! Guaranteed I'd return for another helping of CLUTCH, and would certainly consider other shows in the future. Awesome, thanks for the memories! Cheers Big Ears!.....ClutchAholic

    Best jam sessions ever!

by Copeland on 2009-09-17The Phoenix Concert Theatre - Toronto

I will start by saying that i am a huge Clutch fan and have been following them for years now. They started the show with 2 songs off of Strange Cousins from the west and progressed from there. They went back and forth between albums and the set list was completely different from the London show the night prior. The set was full of expanded jam sessions that would last upto 5 minutes and then seamlessly transition into the next song. As always Neil Fallon was able to captivate the audience with his energetic and almost preacher like stage presence and there was nothing like John Paul Gasters improvised drum fills. Overall a great show!

    Kick Ass Clutch!

by daycoda on 2009-09-17The Phoenix Concert Theatre - Toronto

Amazing Amazing Amazing! This is the first time I've seen Clutch live and they were awesome! Love the style of how they perform and they sound just as good live as they do on their albums - which is something I find many bands don't do! I will see them again when they come back! Good TIMES FOR SURE!

by ClutchFan on 2009-09-16THE MUSIC HALL - LONDON

Great show! Great value! Good mix of tunes. They played some new stuff along with their older hits. Kept the crowd energized for the whole set. They did not dissapoint. I still can't believe they aren't playing bigger venues. Awesome band to see live. I Highly recommend them!!

    Clutch was Rocking Solid.

by Caughy on 2009-09-16THE MUSIC HALL - LONDON

While Clutch neglected 'Transnational Speedway League' and 'Passive Restraints', they returned to the stripped down straight ahead ass kicking Rock that I love. It was just the 4 of them, no organ this tour. It was rocking from start to finish with gems like 'Texan book of the dead' and 'Animal Farm'. Solid Rock Show.

    Clutch...AWESOME!

by Marshy19 on 2009-09-16THE MUSIC HALL - LONDON

These guys are simply AMAZING! It's hard to fine a band with all members having incredible amounts of talent. A perfect mix of Metal and Blues. I would recommend listening and seeing these guys. They have a small loyal following that keeps on growing. Put the word out. CLUTCH RULES! Can't wait for them to come back.

Clutch were amazing as per usual!

by Dan414 on 2009-09-16THE MUSIC HALL - LONDON

ive seen Clutch 4 times now and they are without a doubt the best band i have ever seen live and i mean ive seen bands such as KISS, AC/DC, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Def Leppard ect. It not so much the show that they put on but its the atmosphere at any Clutch show you go to and the show last night was just great! They played some great classic songs such as Burning Beard and Texan Book Of The Dead as well some of the new stuff so there really was a good mix!. The crowd was great and in general it was just a really good show and i recomend any one to go see Clutch even if you dont like them becuase you will once youve seen them live!

    Clutch Rocked London

by DRLashambe on 2009-09-16THE MUSIC HALL - LONDON

There aren't any bands that can compare to Clutch when it comes to working an audience. No fancy light show, no video screens, just a bunch of guys loving what they do and dragging you along with them.

    Clutch rules!!

by Cloudbreather on 2009-08-08The Odeon Events Centre - Saskatoon

5th time I've seen Clutch. They are the BEST live band period I have ever seen. So consistent! Would see them again and again and again......well you get my point. Their live shows are like a 1/4 mile run in a VERY fast car, powershifting through all gears resulting in a g-force induced permanent smile on your face!!!!

Clutch, finest in Rock and Roll

by Jamm3r on 2009-08-06Edmonton Event Centre - Edmonton

As a fan of Clutch for over 15 years, I admit to be somewhat bias here... Anyone who has followed Clutch for a while probably knows them to be about the most gimmick free and true to roots rock and roll band of today. They progress with each album and keep fresh with original and intelligent lyrics. On stage they're remarkable. For starters, Clutch's guitarist, Tim Sult, plays the entire set for the opening act, Lionize, before taking the stage with the big act. These guys are truly professional and journeymen of live shows. Neil Fallon's voice was crisp, the band played as tight as one could hope, and the mix was spot on. Some fellow concert goers showed disappointment in the encore. They didn't play classic tracks of theirs like Shogun Named Marcus, Big News or Texan Book of the Dead. This didn't bother me a bit. They have around 10 or 11 LP's, several EP's, and have never been single oriented. I figure after doing this for close to 20 years, they probably aren't that interested in playing 15 minute versions of Spacegrass anymore. Besides, the true fans would be fine with more obscure songs like closing with The House that Peterbilt, which they did one night earlier in Calgary. For anyone who knows them and doesn't mind them, just go. There's a great vibe in the crowd and the band won't disappoint. For those who know them well...you know the drill...
