Once again, Clutch put on a wildly energetic show. Neil Fallon delivered his archetypical performance, half psychotic street preacher, half redneck hillbilly visionary, alternately evangelizing and then lecturing the crowd with tales of alien conspiracies, corporate religion, mad truckers, and the occasional straightup drinking song. All this while backed up by the rest of the incredibly talented members of Clutch weaving drum bass and guitar lines ranging from the simple and powerful to the incredibly complex, but all with that trademark Clutch kick.
Flames Central is a venue with amazing potential for live events. They seem to still be getting into the rhythm of running a live event, but the views and the proximity available from the many levels of seating have no equal in Calgary. Once the organizational kinks are ironed out this will be _the_ place to see live bands of this calibre.
