Collective Soul rose to prominence in the mid-’90s with 1993’s Hints Allegations and Things Left Unsaid. The album featured the hit single “Shine” and took Collective Soul from college radio to heavy rotation on MTV. By the end of 1995, the band (led by singer-songwriter Ed Roland) had toured with Aerosmith and Van Halen and performed “Shine” in front of thousands of fans at Woodstock ‘94. Their triple-platinum follow-up, Collective Soul (1995), included "December," "The World I Know" and "Where the River Flows," all No. 1 songs on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. Collective Soul would continue achieving career milestones well into the 2000s and 2010s, including a duet with Elton John (“Perfect Day”) and nine additional studio albums.

What a performance! They really put on a great show! Sound just like they did in the 90s!
Had a great time . Dont like the set up at the Comodore ballroom . Collective soul put on a great show 👏 🤘
Seriously such a GREAT show! Would go back and see them again & again & again!
Small venue was electric and full of energy ..small venues are just unbeatable. Collective soul was one show you should have not missed
COLLECTIVE SOUL can still put on an amazing performance.that lead guitarist has top notch skills.well done!
My daughter's first time seeing Collective Soul due to the age restriction, timing, Covid, etc. and she absolutely loved it. I did as well of course. Dancing, singing along and seeing everyone completely enjoying themselves is what makes a great concert. And this is was a great concert!
Amazing band and concert in a great, intimate venue!
If you are thinking about seeing Collective Soul, do it, you will never regret it . Great opening band this year, but you can always count on them to work with someone their fans are guaranteed to love. They did start quite late, like well over an hour late I would say - doors at 7, opening band started around 8:20, Collective Soul around 9:30. This wasn't what I expected, I believe part of it was unavoidable but it would be helpful if they provided expected showtime separately from doors on the tickets so people would know what the plan was. I do have a complaint related primarily to the organizer - they were checking IDs in the lineup before the show. Presumably this is to meet a liquor license requirement, but the lineup was totally uncontained and dozens of people cut in ahead of me in the line up - so that is slightly annoying as someone who waited a very long time for my place in line to a general admission show. I get it, people work or have trouble finding parking and a member of the group holds their place - fine, whatever. But, importantly, it also rendered the ID check completely meaningless because at least a tenth of the people in my line of sight did not get ID'd and I'm quite sure a few were minors. This may have been a deliberate strategy. They simply jumped into line after the ID checkers went by and it had to have been obvious to the door staff, so if you're not going to bother having a proper process in place for checking ID then don't go through the motions and bother everyone with it. I mean this in the most constructive and positive way possible as feedback towards easy improvements to enhance guest experience, and in no way to diminish that Collective Soul is rocking, did a bunch of solos and got everyone totally PUMPED, and I had a great night. Please, come back soon.
Collective Soul was great! Still such great energy and very amazing performance!
Wow. What a great show. Lots of good music and a vibrant energy
The epic venue of The Commodore Ballroom was the stage for a high energy, highly infectious sounds of a brilliant experience. The place was full of excitement and persons of all ages. 2 bands came to play for an audience. And both are talented, genuine and pleasing to all ages. I had a fantastic evening and a memorable experience ✨️
The show was all I wanted and more. Collective Soul put on a great performance, engaged with the crowd without feeling disingenuous or like how they treat every stop on their tour. When talking to the crowd between songs, it was hard to hear because of all the conversations going on in the audience, but I’ll definitely choose this venue over a big arena any day!
When considering concerts, the venue is just as important as the performers themselves. The Commodore Ballroom is the right size and configuration for concerts that fit the audience. They also have multiple bars preventing long lineups and people skipping. The venue had a balcony in a U shape which is the ideal configuration maximizing the second floor space. This provides the audience with better visibility and to be a little further away from the crowds on the floor up front. I was surprised to see there was also hot food service available, Along with a coat check to put away your wet raincoat. Though I did not take advantage of either service as I was not expecting it to be available and had planned for that. The concert lighting and effects were also beyond expectation for a venue of that size. Whether that is the venues equipment or the band's. The only minor complaint I have is the microphone of the vocalist did not seem to be clear. Standing on the floor in front of the stage I found it hard to understand what he was saying and could not quite hear the lyrics though I knew them anyway. Again not sure if this is the property of the venue or the band's.
I have never been to The Commodore! What a great location for an intimate concert with an dynamic band. I've never seen Collective Soul live. Wow!
Awesome vibe…a sold out concerts. Collective Soul was amazing. I love the Commodore, but I wish we could hear better the singer.
Great vibes! Amazing band! Couldn’t have been happier with the concert
1st off I consider myself healthy & active early 50's The venue to see a band up close and personal awesome. The having to stand for 4 plus hours in a tiny space ( so many bodies) is hard on the body, joints. Could use a wee bit more "rotation seating" Also did not like "no cash". We truly should have the option to use our Canadian currency. $4 for a coat check and you have to tap...ridiculous. Collective Soul put on a dazzling, hit after hit performance. The band Stories, incredible. My star rating is based on not enough places to sit, not the music. Thankyou.
Collective Soul rocked! So many great songs and memories came back...the energy in the venue was amazing! Too bad it takes 30 minutes to get a beverage...Club Regent just needs to work on that please!
Both bands were fantastic and the venue was great!! I can hardly wait until they both come back to Winnipeg!
Collective Soul rocked the house Friday night and put on a great show. Love Club Regent for concerts! Storie was great as well!
