Collective Soul rose to prominence in the mid-’90s with 1993’s Hints Allegations and Things Left Unsaid. The album featured the hit single “Shine” and took Collective Soul from college radio to heavy rotation on MTV. By the end of 1995, the band (led by singer-songwriter Ed Roland) had toured with Aerosmith and Van Halen and performed “Shine” in front of thousands of fans at Woodstock ‘94. Their triple-platinum follow-up, Collective Soul (1995), included "December," "The World I Know" and "Where the River Flows," all No. 1 songs on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. Collective Soul would continue achieving career milestones well into the 2000s and 2010s, including a duet with Elton John (“Perfect Day”) and nine additional studio albums.

WENT TO TORONTO TO SEE COLLECTIVE SOUL AND ALL I CAN SAY IS THEY DELIVERED. WHAT A SHOW. LIGHTSHOW WAS SUPERB. THEY SANG FOR 2 HOURS AND PERFORMED OLD AND NEW SONGS. THE BAND WAS INTO THE AUDIENCE AND HAD AUDIENCE PARTICIPATE ALSO. THEY STILL PROVE THAT WITH THEIR MUSICAL TALENT AND RESPECT FOR THE FANS THAT THEIR HOLDING POWER IS STRONGER THAN EVER!! THEY ARE IMPRESSIVE AND MAGICAL. VERY GRACIOUS TO THE FANS, ESPECIALLY DEAN.(A TRUE GENTLEMAN FROM THE SOUTH)
I saw them the last time they were here...they are still great...great guitar action...voice could have been better and directed to upper decks.
The show was fun as usual. Nice effects with the lights. New drummer is rather flamboyant! What happened to Ryan - we did miss him as well. The kids want to know when Collective Soul will do an all ages event.
Band was fantastic - the showmanship despite the small venue was outstanding - accoustics got better as the concert progressed - well worth the time and money Thanks for a great Evening Guys
Collective Soul is one of my favorite bands. I've seen them in concert before and didn't hesitate to see them again. They play to all ages and to the crowd. I really like when they got the crowd involved with the song Shine . The 90 - 95 minute concert went by way to fast. I could have stayed for another hour to listen to the songs they didn't play. If your a Collective Soul fan, this is a concert you don't want to miss.
whoooo, it was an excellent show, unforgetable. i will be going if they come back again. whoooo
What an awsome show- not only was the music the best- the light show kinda freaked me out........now I know why I always go see Collective Soul when they come to town- and cannot wait until their next tour. New album is exellent- if you don't have it- you gotta buy it..
Unable to enjoy the performance because microphone sound is unclear and too low. Other audiences also have the same thought.
Seeing Collective Soul in concert was like a dream come true. They were great with all their old songs as well as their new ones off of the new album. Would we go again, in a heartbeat.!
Show was excellent. Would have liked to have seen it go just a little longer. Music sound was good but voice/vocals appeared a little muffled at times (ie: needed more clarity). Seating leg room in 1st balcony was quite limited...would help if more spacing between chairs/seats.
The crowd at these concerts is always a huge range from young to old, collective soul is timeless. Their music is always awesome and I love that they play a lot of the older stuff! Only problem was Ed Roland's mic was too low, we couldn't hear him sometimes. But overall awesome show, great musicians, fun and I would go see them again and again whenever their in town! It's always a good time with great music!
excellent....my 25 and 23 year old children loved it as much as I did. Thanks, for an excellent performance.
My first time seeing Collective Soul live in concert. I thoroughly enjoyed it, especially in a small venue like the Burton Cummings where you can see everything well and up close.
Awesome show, perfect ending to a great show as well... with 'run'. wow. Really impressed with Ed Roland's love for the shows... he had a blast it seemed! Great new songs, super old songs. THe old ones had people up and clapping though. Great crowd interaction.
Collective Soul rocked big time the only thing was the venue was so small you couldn't even move.
You'll be surprised how many hits have been written by Collective Soul. Their 1.5+ hour set was packed full of their classic hits (Shine, Gel, December, Run, Heavy, etc) along with a bunch of songs from their new album (Welcome All Again, You, Starring Down, etc). Fantastic energy, sound was great, they were very engaging - light show was good too.
Very good show, never been in this small of a venue before so no matter where you were, you were right there. Very limited booze and beers but still had a great time.
The show and venue was pretty good. Crash Parallel opened at 8PM, with Collective Soul playing at 9. Lots of classic songs, but only a few new ones, so I wonder if perhaps they're getting a bit stale :(
I have seen them 3 times now ...These guys are GREAT live. What an awesome show. Catch them in Barrie if you missed the Toronto show, you won't be sorry. Thanks for a great show and come back soon guys!!!
