Amazing athletes and superb golf! Would definitely go again but would skip the Pro-Am!
The event itself was fine. We paid extra for Fanzone and Heritage Lounge and it was a joke. The food at Heritage was supposed to be "upscale"... it was identical to all other food. The worst part was on the other side of the walkway (about 10 feet away from Heritage) the same burger was $4.00 less!!! We upscaled and paid more for the Heritage Lounge and then found out the food cost more even though it was identical to all other food concessions. Being told to park at Mount Royal University with really no other option and finding out it was $21.00 also a joke.
Great experience! Easy to get to for parking and take the shuttle to the course. The players were top notch as you would expect. The course was in great shape! I’d like to get a pamphlet to take with you so you could figure out where you are on the course and where another hole might be located. Can’t wait for the LPGA to come back to Alberta!
Solid event! Great golf, cons: poor course organization and crazy expensive concessions, lack of on course amenities. More autograph sessions and interactions needed. Overall it was fantastic and loved my first LPGA event!
Well organized easy to find holes. Wish had more carts to assist with driving Country
The golf was amazing and the golf course was in great shape. The volunteers were also amazing. But I think it was to expensive to get in.
I’m not a golfer but my husband is and I joined him to watch the women’s open, it was a nice experience to watch the women’s open live.
Everything was great except the food and booze pricing. Major ripoff.
We (4) had Friday tickets for the Heritage lounge. Signage directing us to the lounge could have been better but the volunteers were great. The seating options met our expectations and the couches in the shade were a nice break from the sun. The staff were exceptionally helpful and the upscale toilet facilities much appreciated. The only disappointment was the food which was billed as “premium”. While the brisket was tender, brisket on a bun with some coleslaw didn’t meet our expectations. Neither of the salads we bought were finished and some of us went off to find the food trucks. This was my first time at an event like this so perhaps my expectations were too high. Overall I would rate the staff and seating as 5/5 but value for money 3.5/5
Wonderful experience. Well organized. Easy to get around. The volunteers were amazing - helpful and friendly. One of the best organized events that I've been to.
The event was great! Heritage lounge was really nicely set up for great views all around. Although event concessions was quite pricey. Still great event! 10/10 would recommend and go back!
The golf and the venue were fantastic. My only knock on the event is the expensive food and drinks, $13 for a beer, $20 for a sandwich. Would definitely go again.
I enjoy it even when the weather wasn’t so great. My only complaint is they didn’t have a program handed out which for some of us we don’t use internet to see who is where.
First of all, getting to the course was very efficient. Spectator parking location was well identified and accessible. Shuttle buses were frequent so very short waits. Excellent! All staff, from security to course personnel were efficient and friendly. I enjoyed the Fan Fare area. Lots of activities, prize draws and give aways. I also appreciated that there were many public spectator seating options with great viewing vantage points. My only minor negative was the quality of the food concessions in terms of food quality and variety. I did get served a very under cooked burger... and, of course, some pricing was outrageous ($4.50 for a regular coffee) but that is unfortunately the status quo at major sporting events. In summary, Calgary, Earl Grey Golf Course and its volunteers did GOOD!! Hope the get to do it again.
Great experience, fun to watch. Brooke H is a great ambassador for the ladies golf in Canada.
Couldn't go as the air quality was very bad; an 11 on a scale of 1-11.
We got the upgraded ticket. Total waste of money. You could sit in their catering area of clubhouse. Whoopty-doo. Paid a lot more for this.
Sunday was a great day. If I wasn't working fulltime I would be volunteering. I enjoyed seeing these amazing athletes up close, performing at such a high level.
Had a great time at the Venue. The golf was awesome but the lounge tickets were a total rip off would never by those ever again.Information was misleading to think that a person would have access to the clubhouse ,better food and beverages which was far from the truth. The washrooms were a portable portapotti trailer which was a total disappointment as well. Will only buy gen admission next time no need to spend the extra money for no extras
Excellent event, well organized, shuttles great overall fantastic experience.
