  • Over priced upgrade heritage club

by Lostferret on 2023-08-31Rating: 3 out of 5

The tournament was a lot of fun. Saw Brooke and Nelly up close. But I paid for the Heritage Club upgrade. Close to twice the price of a regular admission. Definitely not worth it. See the shaunnessy clubhouse, it said. What clubhouse? You mean the catering area? Wow. Upgraded food, it said. Doubt it. It was fine, but I doubt upgraded. Wifi wasn't working. Live broadcast of event wasn't working either. Wasted money.

My first time at an LPGA event. It was fabulous. Watching Brooke Henderson was amazing

Stars were attracted to this venue thank you. Glad….poor wifi, poor parking plan.. too far from venue… more directions

  • Great golf but not as well run as previous years.

I have 2 concerns about this years CPKC Canadian Open. First, the absence of pairing sheets makes it difficult to plan your day. The pairing sheets also had a map of the golf course that helped you find your way around the course. Secondly, the signage directing you to the designated parking zones was inaccurate. I spent close to half an hour looking for the parking lot.

  • Fun weekend of golf.

Brook Henderson was fantastic, great ambassador for Canadian golf. Awesome finish to the tournament couldn’t be more exciting.

by Rob on 2023-08-30Rating: 5 out of 5

We had an outstanding golf experience at the CPKC Women's Open. First class in every aspect of the tournament. Well done Shaughnessy. The course was in excellent condition and the venue superb.

Excellent event, lots of good viewing areas to see the best golfers in the world. World class for food and beverages.

  • Once in a lifetime experience

by Golfholic on 2023-08-30Rating: 5 out of 5

Although tickets were more expensive than American tournaments, it was worth the money. It was well organized and executed. You get so close to the players and see everything right infront of your eyes. Players were so friendly and took time to sign autographs and talk with fans. I will definitely attend again in the future.

  • first time

    by t stu on 2023-08-30Rating: 5 out of 5

first ever golf event. very entertaining and the fan experience was very professional. It felt very classy even as we first entered the event. When then golf began, we were almost over whelmed with all the cool booths to visit and all the cheering around us as the golfers made good shots. Very impressed with the caliber of golf the ladies displayed.

  • Good golf

    by Annie’s Mum on 2023-08-30Rating: 3 out of 5

Well manicured course, good sight lines. Very poor signage for directions to shuttles at the end of the day. Only 1 shuttle driver explained to us where the buses would be waiting. Plenty of shuttle buses, no waiting. Parking on the final day was poorly communicated, we were advised to park at the Thunderbird Parkade and after waiting line were turned away because it was move in day at the university, we were left to find alternate parking elsewhere. Other golf events had better opportunities to buy merchandise, no golf related vendors (only event related merchandise) and not enough food vendors. We have many food trucks in Vancouver that could have been utilized to provide variety. Washrooms were filthy. In spite of the negatives I would attend another event although I preferred the Vancouver Golf and Country Club venue.

  • Awesome weather snd scenic venue

by Brookes Brigade on 2023-08-30Rating: 5 out of 5

Great layout for spectators to watch any player. Close up opportintues all over. Ocean views on several holes, great Ceasar tent, and nice viewing at the "rink"on the 17th hole

  • Generally good

    by C eh on 2023-08-30Rating: 4 out of 5

Good management of the movement of the gallery. Good that there was a bike corral, good that the practice areas were accessible. Volunteers were great. Only poor was on course food options. If you were at hole 4 or 5 and wanted something to eat your only option was chips or walk back to 18 to get something. Same was true on the back 9.

  • I wish the open would come to the west coast more often

    by Golfer 1 on 2023-08-29Rating: 4 out of 5

I went Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. In general I had a excellent time. My complaints were as follows: Why was there only 2 leaderboards on the course. One by the 17th green and one by the 18th green. How are the players and caddies supposed to know where they are at in the tournament? You cannot expect the caddies or players to check their phones during a round. There should have been at least 3 more leaderboards. This is a big tournament and every shot counts. Also, why the boards on the 17th tee box? They are too loud when people hit them. Forget the hockey boards and let’s focus on the golf. Also they should have handed out my tee times sheets for the spectators.

  • Underwhelming

by Pg on 2023-08-29Rating: 3 out of 5

Terrible mobile phone coverage. In excusable for a world class event. Inadequate scoreboards around the site. Need to have at least 3 spread around the course. Generally poor signage. Overall somewhat disappointing.

  • Excellent. Great day, quite easy to navigate.

by Nil on 2023-08-29Rating: 4 out of 5

Great venue. Excellent viewing. Should have more water stations on the golf course for patrons. Should be a prize for the caddy who's player won.

  • Absolutely superb tournament!

    by TMB53 on 2023-08-29Rating: 5 out of 5

It was an amazing experience to be able to watch some of the best golfers in the world first hand, closeup, and in person. The event was so smoothly run and a pleasure be there in such great weather and a truly spectacular setting. I only wish I could have been there for more days! Congratulations to the LPGA, all the players, the staff, and army of volunteers.

  • Fantastic

What a fantastic event! It was well organized and very accommodating for all. Things to do for all ages. BC is fortunate to be able to host an event like this and bring the worlds best golfers to to our province! I would attend this event again in a heartbeat! Well done!!

  • Super venue and professionally organized

by Duffer Dan on 2023-08-29Rating: 5 out of 5

Great to see these incredible women golfers. The weather was perfect and the bugs were manageable. Shaughnessy Golf and Country is a real gem groomed to perfection. The gallery was very Canadian polite allowing for the best performance from these golf pros. Hope Shaughnessy gets another PGA tournament before it is handed over to the natives for land development.

  • CPKC Open 2022

by Habs on 2023-08-29Rating: 3 out of 5

The volunteers were friendly and helpful but the toilets were difficult to locate and few and far between. The food was sub par, bought a hamburger and threw it in the garbage after one bite. A lot of mosquitoes on the course and no repellent to be had for the patrons.
