It was exciting to have the chance to meet Brooke Henderson again. The Hunt Club. course was amazing. People have worked hard to prepare for the tournament. Sorry that there weren’t course maps handed out upon entry. Lots of walking unnecessarily to find certain holes. Sunny day and great to see Brooke on her practice round on Wednesday. Lots of excitement. Enjoyed the hockey hole #17.
Excellent organization simply great except for lack of french in speeches on august 22. That was disappointing because it is golf Canada
My goal was to see Brooke up close and I did, she practiced in front of me and waved back to me when I waved at her - she is so awesome. Got to see Lorie Kane give balls to kids and make their day. The day was great all around and I’d do this again
The event was perfect in every way. Shuttle service, food, many gifts, everyone was very helpful. Not to mention the great weather for watching golf. Thank you Magna Golf Course, your turf team must be amazing!!!!
It was a lovely event! Great time... looking forward to hopefully going back next year
The Magna golf course was beautiful and in impeccable condition but it was the field of women golfers that were outstanding. These approachable professionals, without exception, displayed both skill and sportsmanship at it's highest level. It was an absolute pleasure to watch them all seven days of the tournament.
A very enjoyable day, beautiful course! Great to see all the Brooke supporters behind the Canadian favourite!
The communication was horrible waisted 45 minutes driving around the event speaking to security at every entrance until someone actually knew where parking was and how things worked .No instruction given previous via Email either or on website There were no signs for parking or entry . Very frustrating. The experience once on the grounds was terrific
The parking was at the Markham Fairground half hour away there were shuttle buses but after driving to the event we had to then go back to Markham wasting over an hour. The course is poorly set up for tournaments not very many good viewing spots. It wasn't crowded unless you tried to follow Brooke Henderson which most of the audience was doing. I haven't been to a golf tournament for awhile from now on we'll watch it on T.V
Gorgeous venue, quality golf, but what a money-grubbing organization! No mention they were going to jack up prices aka "dynamic pricing" when I checked ticket prices on Monday. Then, when I went to buy the tickets on Thursday evening for Friday, the price had shot up from $50 to $65! Then, unlike the Men's Canadian Open, no water bottles were allowed in, and no free water was provided on site - you had to pay $4.50 for a bottle of water. And then there was the overpriced food, typical for this type of event. At least the food truck crab burger was tasty. The parking lot was too far away from the event. Twenty-thirty minute bus ride.
Thank you Belinda Stronach and to the others who allowed this event to take place at the Magna Golf Club. The surroundings were lush and tranquil and the CP fan stands assisted my eighty year old and over parents to enjoy this outing in comfort. We appreciated the golf cart assistance midway through the day to quickly get to the eleventh green to see Laurie Kane and later Brooke Henderson and their peers. All players, including the under thirteen year old Yiu, displayed their exceptional talent well. I thought CP ran a targeted fundraiser in a well constucted manner. I thought the day was reasonably priced. The only problem we had with the day was at its end when my parents needed a golf cart to get off the property. There was no golf cart or shuttle to be found since we were not VIP spectators. I had happy but weary seniors limp from the golf club house to Leslie Street where we were picked up. However, overall this was a very enjoyable, relaxing, entertaining and memorable day and pleased my golf loving father and mother well!
I have never seen a golf course in such fantastic condition, and Magna showed itself off in a tremendous manner. The organization of the grounds was spot on, and it was a great experience overall. On the negative side, transportation options provided on website were less than ideal. I wanted to take the local bus from the Aurora GO station, but it was infrequent and not highlighted by staff in the GO station. They didn't seem to know there was an LPGA tournament going on down the road, or where the local bus actually stopped i.e. not in the station, but out on the adjacent street. Parking options listed for weekdays were very limited. One lot east of Yonge Street was not attractive to soneone coming from the west. Most importantly, the LPGA ladies put on a wonderful show and demonstrated that they are a compelling option to spending my entertainment dollar on the men.
The golf was amazing to watch as always. The volunteers while plentiful were not helpful when asked questions (ie where is the designated smoking areas: there are none, three areas but I don't know where they are). The course itself was beautiful and in amazing shape. It wasn't however a spectator friendly course. Entering mid fairway on Hole #3 meant an incredibly long walk to the main action. After a long walk from the bus drop off it was at least a half hour walk to the horseshoe area up and down hills. Shuttles for those with higher priced passes whizzed by but a day passer had miles to walk before they got to the action. A great day of golf watching but frustrating too.
Loved it was in Aurora, beautiful course, close to home. Perfect.
Great first time event experience! Food was a bit expensive.
What a great experience to watch the best women golfers in the world. Will definitely do it again.
Great event! Everything was easy to navigate - from parking to the concessions. The staff working was also very friendly.
Very well organized event. Everything flowed very smoothly, from parking to being shuttled to the event and then once inside, it just moved along.
I went everyday to the Wascana Golf Course to see the best women in the world play. Very talented golfers.
