  • Great golf, but getting too corporate and expensive

by WillBradiii on 2022-08-29Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club - OttawaRating: 4 out of 5

The LPGA golfers gave a great performance and the Hunt Club Golf Course was in great shape. I didn't like that all the sitting areas were for corporations or person's with special tickets, which I wasn't able to get into with my $70 tickets (with all the taxes and fees). There was also price gouging at the concessions and parking. A bottle of coke cost $6 and the parking was $20. However, it was a very well run event. I preferred the previous years when the average fan was better treated.

  • LPGA tournie

by Kello on 2022-08-28Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first time attending an event like this. I was very impressed with the shuttle service, and how many volunteers there were. Everyone we spoke to was very helpful and willing to answer our questions. My only complaint would be the cost of food and beverages. I think the prices could have been a little less than what was being charged. Ex $5 for one bottle of water. You can buy a case of 24 water for under $3.00!! Aside from that, a very well organized and run event. I would attend another golf tournament for sure!!

  • Made my daughter smile!

by Hugh on 2022-08-28Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

Glad we were able to attend - my 11 year old daughter got to see Brooke up close play 14-18, and meet legend Lorie Kane!

  • Unforgettable

Incredible organization, sunny weather, an A+ field of unbelievably talented athletes, great ambassadors to the game, and following my wife's idol (Lexi!) play her round, what an memorable day this has been. Well done, Ottawa!!

The golf was terrific. The course looked fantastic. All that was great! Players were terrific and fun to watch. My complaints are with the accommodations for the fans. Except for the stands that you have to pay for, there should have been some picnic tables or other seats in places where one could take a break from their feet. Given the sloping ground where you stand to see the play it is very tiring on legs and hips. Only choice was to sit on the ground and then get up from wet grass. It is not very ladylike for older people. Food and drinks were way overpriced! No wonder they make so much for charity! $12 for a tall boy is robbery!

The LPGA Canadian Open was an exceptional day, the quality of golf was A1, the event was well organized, the volunteers were knowledgeable, polite and friendly. Well done.

  • Good Golf - no Gourmet

by Rainy on 2022-08-28Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club - OttawaRating: 3 out of 5

The golf was great - people very pleasant - parking was ridiculously far away and very slow to transport from approved lots and the food was atrocious. Go for the golf - park on a neighborhood street and pack a picnic lunch!

From the outset the email receipt the information before and immediately before to alert us as the procedures to follow were very helpful.

  • Inspiring athletes and well organized event

by GG on 2022-08-28Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club - OttawaRating: 4 out of 5

This was a great event - efficient parking and shuttle services, visitor support and a super opportunity to watch excellent golf. The concessions could be improved by adding tea to the beverage menu, some healthy choice options and having buns for the sausages.

The CP Open is an event one must not miss. The Ottawa Hunt club did an amazing job in preparing the course for a first rate golf experience. The LPGA ladies have amazing talent, and are a joy to watch. The shuttle bus from the parking lot to the venue was first rate, didn’t have to wait at all at the parking field nor at the venue. Would love to see this event again in Ontario, it’s just wonderful to see the talent of these young women golfers.

always enjoy seeing the women play at the Ottawa Hunt club, we've been going since 1994 when they play there, good for Ottawa and Canada, and Canada's ambassador of Golf Brooke Henderson, what a girl. Just loved every minute of it Congrats to paula reto on her win too

  • It was very awesome and well organized with many volunteers

This was my first time at a professional golf tournament. It was a birthday gift for my guy and we had an amazing day. The only thing I would say wails be to give out course maps as we had a hard time following the players. Otherwise was awesome.

  • Enjoyable

by Birdie on 2022-08-28Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club - OttawaRating: 4 out of 5

A wonderful day. Amazing shuttle service to and from parking lot. Friendly volunteers. Lots of great places to watch at every hole. We went on Thursday. The only complaint was the concessions. Morning coffee cost 3.96, filled only 2/3 full and Luke warm. Had lunch near hole 13 and service was extremely slow, lots of food not available right away. They didn’t know what relish was and said they ran out. Unfortunate you can’t bring your own picnic lunch and water. It was very hot out and a bottle of water was $4.00. We just went without but not really a healthy thing to do. Overall enjoyed the day.

  • Concessions and allowable items at Open!

by Zelda on 2022-08-28Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club - OttawaRating: 3 out of 5

Listed on the website for items not allowed was COOLERS. I saw may coolers on-site and would have loved to bring one with food as the concession food by hole 13 was not the best! The workers there had a bbq the size of what everyone has on their patio and with 15 people in line waiting for food - the cooker only had 2 burgers and 1 sausage on the grill! When you are busy like that - you have the grill covered with burgers and sausage, have a warming container to put cooked burgers and sausage into and keep the crowd moving and happy. ALSO the onions for the burgers etc. were cut in HUGE pieces (not suitable for anything), the leaf lettuce was HUGE (way too big for anything) and there was NO MAYO. Also, each person put their own onions and lettuce and tomatoes on and handled the utensils - without them being sanitized each time - this is covid time and we don't need to be spreading germs so blatently! Entrance people were very accommodating as I did not have a mobile ticket - they took care of me. You are discriminating against many people who do not have cell phones for tickets! I have one, but do not have data and only use it for emergencies - wouldn't know where my ticket would have ended up if I had put it there. Also don't use the phone for internet! Lots of volunteers working but you could have had pairing sheets more visible for spectators to get - we had to ask someone and were told that the 50/50 sellers had them (who would know?)

Great time at the Womens Open!! Great places to eat and watch the event

  • Worth it!

by Dan on 2022-08-28Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club - OttawaRating: 4 out of 5

Really enjoyed the event and especially my special fan zone seats. My only concern was the confusion regarding the date for the special tickets. They referred to the 28th when my general admission tickets were only good until the 27th. Ultimately, after a few emails the issue was cleared up in time. Thanks!

  • Exciting event

by Michel on 2022-08-27Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club - OttawaRating: 3 out of 5

The fairways and the greens of the golf course were in excellent shape. I did not appreciate the length of the grass of the first cut and neither did the golfers I presume. Poor quality food with excessive prices was available as well as beer at $12 and water at $6. There were no tables to put your condiments on hot dogs and no, not one chair to sit on except for those who shelled out more of their hard earned money. Parking in a cow pasture as rough as you can imagine for $20!!! But the staff and bus drivers who volunteered their services were quite friendly. We prefer our experience at the Phoenix Open, the Farmers Insurance tournament in La Jolla and the Mens Canadian Open in Glen Abbey in Oakville. Well at least it was in Ottawa.
