About

Craig David is a British R&B singer-songwriter and international pop sensation with No. 1 hits and worldwide sales in the millions. In the late ‘90s, Craig David was a part of the UK garage and R&B scene, working as a DJ in nightclubs and on local radio. His first taste of fame was working on a B-side by R&B group, Damage, which lead to recording vocals for Artful Dodger. Their song “Re-Rewind” featuring Craig David propelled David into the spotlight. He was quickly signed to Wildstar Records and started working on a debut album.

Early the following year he released his debut single “Fill Me In” which was a smash hit, selling nearly half a million copies and reaching number 15 on the Billboard Chart. The album, Born To Do It, ended up selling more than eight million copies worldwide. His 2002 album, Slicker Than The Average, continued his strong chart success with hits including “Rise & Fall” featuring Sting and “What's Your Flava?”

After signing with Warner he released The Story Goes...in 2005 and Trust Me in 2007. Each album produced a number of chart hits. His final album with Warner was a Greatest Hits album, that included two new tracks, both a nod back to his UK garage roots that featured Rita Ora and Tinchy Stryder. In 2009 he released Signed, Sealed & Delivered, which featured Motown covers of songs from artists like Marvin Gaye and The Four Tops. He then went back to his DJ roots, reuniting with DJ Spoony to release Rewind Old Skool Classics in 2010. In 2011 he played at the Michael Jackson tribute Concert at The Millennium Stadium in Cardiff and he wrote material for The Backstreet Boys in 2012.

  • Best concert EVER

by Aimana on 2024-05-16History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I have been to so many concerts in my life and this one trumps them all. I have been obsessed with Craig David and the Born to do it album since I was 7. I never thought i’d be able to see Craig live so when I got the notification he was coming I nearly passed out and called my sister immediately. We were excited for months and when the day came we had the highest expectations possible. My hopes were exponentially exceeded. Jesse Gold was an amazing opener. Craig David BLEW MY MIND. His voice hasn’t changed a bit and he sounded PERFECT. Wonderful performer. Was out almost exactly on time, he performed for almost two hours, and i’m not sure i’ll ever regain my voice from the amount of screaming that occurred from my excitement. TENS, TENS, TENS ACROSS THE BOARD

Amazing concert, good vibes, good crowd, good musicians, good choristers, good staff, good first part...and of course Craig David was perfect, especially when he did Born To Do It album. He stayed on stage for a good amount of time, he was talking to the crowd. I enjoyed my time with my girl friends.

  • Best live performance ever!

by David on 2024-05-14History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

21 years in the making and finally got to see Craig David live. Let me tell you it was well worth the wait and more. He sounds better live than on the radio and you dont hear or see that too often which is a testament to how good he was. He incorporated his band as well and they were soo good. Highly recommend!!!

Someone pinch me… I still can’t believe I got to witness Craig David live on stage! His vocals are still wicked. No auto tune, no inappropriate language. The microphone 🎤 was always on! I’m so happy I’ve finally got to see him perform live on stage. Definitely, my favourite UK artist!
