BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Vancouver-born Dallas Smith launched his music career as the frontman of post-grunge rock group Default, who enjoyed considerable success in the early '00s with their hit single "Wasting My Time". Despite the group's success, country music beckoned to Smith, and in 2012 he released his solo debut album Jumped Right In, a collection of guitar-driven country jams that landed five singles on the Canadian Hot 100. Smith racked up award nominations including Country Album of the Year at the 2013 Juno Awards and Male Artist of the Year, Single of the Year, and Album of the Year by the Canadian Country Music Association. If 2013 wasn't busy enough he also embarked on a sold-out Canadian tour with Bob Seger, played alongside Jason Aldean, and signed with Republic Nashville. His first U.S. single "Trippin' Point" was co-written by Florida Georgia Line's Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard and went platinum in Canada. Smith finished 2014 by touring with Florida Georgia Line and working on his highly anticipated sophomore album.
Dallas Smith did not disappoint! The unplugged concert was amazing! So much better than being in a huge venue. Had the opportunity to meet him afterwards 🤩 I still can’t believe it!!
Dallas Smith’s Halifax show was nothing short of incredible. His voice was pitch‑perfect, smooth, and powerful — it honestly sounded just like listening to him on the radio. The energy in the room was electric, and every song felt effortless yet full of emotion. It was a night that proved why he’s one of Canada’s top country performers.
This was my first show and it was great. Very well organized from there part. I will return for sure.

This is my second time going to see Dallas! This one was unplugged and we certainly enjoyed the stories that he told about his life and his music of course ! The venue was great as well! We enjoy going to Regent Casino for concerts!
What a great show , nothing flashy just pure talent and music. From the talented Brock Phillips to Dallas Smith’s great voice and the great Band . The show was just pure Canadian musical talent . Fantastic show Thanks
The venue is always perfect for a smaller intimate concert. There really are no bad seats in the venue and the big screens help with seeing the close ups if you're in the back! This unplugged concert was incredible. Dallas Smith was funny, engaging and his vocals were insanely good. Definitely ranks in my top 5 concerts.
