DALLAS SMITH IN CONCERT:
Dallas Smith first rose to fame as the frontman of alternative rock band Default, but he's sure to rise even higher as a country rock solo artist. BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Vancouver-born Dallas Smith launched his music career as the frontman of post-grunge rock group Default, who enjoyed considerable success in the early '00s with their hit single "Wasting My Time". Despite the group's success, country music beckoned to Smith, and in 2012 he released his solo debut album Jumped Right In, a collection of guitar-driven country jams that landed five singles on the Canadian Hot 100. Smith racked up award nominations including Country Album of the Year at the 2013 Juno Awards and Male Artist of the Year, Single of the Year, and Album of the Year by the Canadian Country Music Association. If 2013 wasn't busy enough he also embarked on a sold-out Canadian tour with Bob Seger, played alongside Jason Aldean, and signed with Republic Nashville. His first U.S. single "Trippin' Point" was co-written by Florida Georgia Line's Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard and went platinum in Canada. Smith finished 2014 by touring with Florida Georgia Line and working on his highly anticipated sophomore album.
I went to see Dallas Smith at River Cree. I have seen him twice now. He has an amazing voice that seems to be effortless. I enjoyed the intimate setting of it and his storytelling in-between. Highly recommend:)
It was great. Volume just right. Not over crowded. Only issue was parking getting in and out of the parking lot. Out took almost 2 hours.
I've been to many country concerts to see Dallas Smith, and have enjoyed every one, he's down to earth, sings all my favorite songs, everyone's singing along and some dancing, always awesome to see! This is the first time I've seen him perform unplugged with his band and it was incredible. His stories between songs were his history and many times touching to hear and his voice as always, amazing. Love to hear all the favorites including the first country songs he sang, I can't wait to hear his next album, a magical night for sure!
It was up close and personal. Loved listening to his journey in the music industry. Such a down to earth performance. No extravagant display on stage just really easy listening.
Was definitely one of the better concerts I have been to. He sounded so good and how he interacted with the crowd was amazing. Can not put it into any other words then amazing.
Dallas Smith unplugged is a dream come true. This is the second time I’ve seen him in an acoustic style show. Every moment was amazing. With stories of his journey to his beginning to the current hits and the music in between. It’s a must see!
The concert itself was great. Dallas Smith always puts on a great show. I'd only give around 2 stars for venue though. When I first purchased the tickets, they were general admission, just a little over $100 piece, and then at some point before the show date, they offered up bleacher seating at around $70, but never brought out the bleachers, except for a small section, so the ones that paid the bleacher price got the same access as the ones who paid the full price for the tickets. Everyone I spoke to that night weren't too impressed by how things were managed. Hopefully they learn from that mistake and don't make it again.
Dallas smith is such a good concert especially at the grey eagle in Calgary! Smaller venue and even got to touch his hand!!! I love everything about Dallas smith and would 100% see him again! Good for all ages!

Dallas did not disappoint. He put on a great show, full of energy. This was my daughters first concert, and she loved it.
Concert was fantastic! Dallas Smith put on a great performance, mixed it up with his old and new hits! I have a few comments with the Club Regent Venue. They need a better set up for selling drinks before the concert, sold out shows create major lines up. The merch table should be moved, the line up blocks traffic for the folks when they are entering the event centre. Then Drink lines no better. It was disappointing when fans were getting up through out the concert, standing and dancing in the rows for most of the songs. Very unfair to the people seated behind them. Get pit tickets if you want to do that. Ruined the experience for the folks who paid for seating. It’s a live concert end you were forced to watch the screens. Not very pleased.
Dallas was awesome - he had so much energy, and really connected with his audience. The band was great, too. Also, it's sure nice to be able to afford tickets to see a concert! He was such a good sport - his Vancouver Canucks were playing our Edmonton Oilers, and he kept us current with the score. Unfortunately, for him, our Oilers won 7-3 in the Canucks' stadium. : )
It may have been where we were sitting but the bass was overpowering. The stage performance was amazing but even with ear plugs the bass was too much. Reminded me of listening to a car drive by with the bass cranked :/. Side note: I saw a performance in the same venue 2 weeks prior and the sound was on point BUT having said that the group did not have a bass guitar.
Dallas and Tyler Joe were fantastic! Non stop entertainment, the evening just flew by. The sound could have been a little better, but hey, it is basically an arena so whatever, not something the performers had control over. Definitely an event I am so glad I was able to attend.
Dallas Smith was incredible! As was Tyler Joe Miller. Sound was great,just a great venue . We had so much fun!!!
Dallas Smith is a great performer with so many great songs. Will definitely see him in concert again. The sound for his openers wasn’t super great even through they are amazing singers as well.
Great venue and fantastic show , missed Tyler last time he was in Edmonton couldnt do that again.....Dallas was amazing again

I really enjoy History and it's perfect for "smaller"shows. Dallas was super energetic and sounded great! Whole concert was a blast, jumping and dancing on the standing floor section! Ticket prices were very reasonable, and allowed for the crazy high Toronto alcohol prices.
What a great performance and definitely did not disappoint. Dallas Smith sounds as fine tuned in person as he does on the radio.. History is an amazing venue and if I could see every concert there, I would. The limited capacity and standing room only (who doesn’t stand anyway) makes you really feel a part of it all, as opposed to being in the nosebleeds and watching a speck on a stage. 3 👍’s up! Loved it!
