DALLAS SMITH IN CONCERT:
Dallas Smith first rose to fame as the frontman of alternative rock band Default, but he's sure to rise even higher as a country rock solo artist. He's already earned comparisons to Keith Urban and Jason Aldean, and fans lucky enough to catch him live will have no trouble seeing why he's country's hottest new addition. BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Vancouver-born Dallas Smith launched his music career as the frontman of post-grunge rock group Default, who enjoyed considerable success in the early '00s with their hit single "Wasting My Time". Despite the group's success, country music beckoned to Smith, and in 2012 he released his solo debut album Jumped Right In, a collection of guitar-driven country jams that landed five singles on the Canadian Hot 100. Smith racked up award nominations including Country Album of the Year at the 2013 Juno Awards and Male Artist of the Year, Single of the Year, and Album of the Year by the Canadian Country Music Association. If 2013 wasn't busy enough he also embarked on a sold-out Canadian tour with Bob Seger, played alongside Jason Aldean, and signed with Republic Nashville. His first U.S. single "Trippin' Point" was co-written by Florida Georgia Line's Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard and went platinum in Canada. Smith finished 2014 by touring with Florida Georgia Line and working on his highly anticipated sophomore album.
It was the best concert I've ever been to and I'm definitely going to go to another Dallas Smith concert when he comes back to my area! The opening acts were really good too!
Dallas Smith was a lot of fun. Definitely a concert worth seeing. I was surprised by the venue. I expected it to be kind of crappy but it definitely did well.
This show was amazing. Would defiantly go again!!!

Dallas Smith sounds just as amazing in person as he does on the radio!! Great mix of tunes!! Loved every minute of it would so go back to see him again

I took myself and 5 preteens and it was the best concert I have ever attended. The venue was just the right size, everyone treated us great and personable. We got front row and got the show of a lifetime and Dallas Smith even took our phone and did a selfie!!
Although Dallas Smith and the openingbands were amazing to watch, the sound quality was so poor, unless you actually knew the song they played to recognize it, you couldn't tell what they were saying. I bought this these tickets for my husband for his birthday as he really likes Dallas Smith, but we both walked away terribly dissapointed. I realize the tickets were not that expensive, however, we are from Northern Alberta, had a 4 hour drive, both ways, to attend, spent money on a hotel room and took time off work to go watch a performance and not hear anything. Even the lady who introduced them was illegible so we don't know who she was. In all, spending about $700 to attend the concert in total was not worth it at all.
I have seen Dallas a couple times now and he puts on an amazing show. He keeps you singing along hit after hit.
Dallas is a seriously talented man! He was fantastic! A bigger venue is what he deserves. Disappointed that we couldn't hear very well from the middle of the arena to the entrance. But that had nothing to do with his talent! It sure would of made it more enjoyable. The floor people had one big party!
This was my seven year old sons first concert. He loved every minute of it! So did his mom and dad! Servus place was a great venue. We will be back!

This show from beginning to end was just packed full of excitement. Starting Petric who are Manitoba boys then on to Charlie Worsham and then Dallas. I went in a Dallas Smith fan and came out a fan of all 3 acts. Dallas has so much energy on stage it's hard not to just keep dancing the entire time. I can't wait to see all 3 acts in concert again. I hope Petric puts out a CD soon!
I had an amazing time at this show! The smaller venue (as opposed to the MTS centre) was super nice. The opening acts were really attentive and it was cool they were local. I love that Dallas is Canadian and I've been a big fan of his music for a long time. I'm so happy I got to be on the floor for this event and get so close to one of my favourite singers ever. He was so personable and kept the crowds attention the whole couple hours. He spoke about what a few of his songs were written about. He seemed like such a down to earth guy and I'd go see him again in a heart beat!

From the VIP Meet/Greet to the concert itself, it was well organized and well run. I loved that the VIP wasn't chaotic - it was calm and organized. There was time for a meal afterwards and before the actual concert. I do however wish that the alcohol wasn't watered down to the point of being not worth the price paid. I've never in my life drank 7 drinks in one evening and been able to walk out on my own power until Jan 31/15.
Fantastic performance by Dallas Smith and the opening acts! Dallas is super engaging with the audience and provides a high energy show. Loved how he incorporated an old Default song in the set. He rocked the house!
Opening bands were awesome, the lead singer for petric is a personal friend. Dallas Smith never stopped singing and kept the theatre loud and exciting! He doesn't have a bad song, to me all his songs are a hit!
I found the concert to be amazing. Dallas kept the energy high and the songs were well chosen crowed pleasers. They sounded great. The smaller venue ( compare to mts but bigger then most other venues around wpg) was a great size so everyone got a great view of the show. and it was nicely sold out concert as well. it was also nice to see Dallas give his front audience some special attention certainly making it worth wild to get floor area. Lots and easy parking.
Best concert I've ever been too, by far. I fully recommend going to anyone.
