Daniel Sloss: HUBRIS'. The all-new and hilarious 11th solo show by Scotland’s international comedy star, hot on the heels of his ground-breaking, global smash-hit ‘Daniel Sloss: X’, comes to the USA. by Schooner on 2023-07-25Daniel Sloss is an edgy, intellectual and crafty comedian. He touches on very difficult subjects and not only manages to break down a variety of barriers, and find humour where you wouldn't expect, he also teaches without preaching. His growing popularity is a testament to how much we all need to push back any restrictions on comedians and their material and let the audience vote by registering laughs, and bums in seats. It's comforting to see that he is also the type of person that treasures loyalty and kinship, as he continues to utilize Kai Humphries as his opening act. They have very different styles, but manage to complement each other. I will, undoubtedly, buy tickets to his future tours.

by Steph on 2023-07-23This was my first live stand-up comedy show, and it was AMAZING! I've watched all of Daniel's other shows (Netflix/online) and he's my favorite comedian! His style of comedy is dark, intelligent, and witty and it's right up my alley! I had tears from laughing so hard but also found myself adoring the way he approaches a lot of weighty ideas and topics. I will DEFINITELY be going to see him again if/when he comes back to Calgary! Kai Humphries (his friend and podcast partner) opened and was hilarious also! I SUPER recommend this show!

by Ali on 2023-07-22This was the first comedy special i’ve ever been to live, and Daniel Sloss seems to be the only way to get my partner out of the house. Daniel was amazing, super funny, and knows how to bring light to dark topics and i really respect the “laugh at my trauma” aspect to his show. Cant wait for when he returns to our city, definitely going to see him again.

He talks about real world issues and controversial subjects but navigates through it in a way with so much empathy and understanding. At the same time he so masterfully knows how to take the audience to the edge of discomfort and then make them laugh. Over and over again.

If you enjoyed his other work, you’ll laugh non-stop— well worth the price of admission.

by SH on 2023-07-19I've been a fan of Daniel Sloss's comedy for the last 5 or so years and as soon as I heard he was coming to Vancouver I bought tickets. And holy hell he did not disappoint!! My throat was sore for 2 days after from yelling and laughing so hard for two hours straight. His friend Kai opened the show and he also did a phenomenal job! I am definitely buying tickets again next time he comes to Vancouver. I can't recommend him and his comedy enough, thank you Mr. Sloss!

He keeps the audiences attention the whole time, is extremely well spoken and is the only comedian (in my opinion) who can perfectly handle the sensitive subjects in his bit. I was also extremely surprised that Kai Humphries opened, Ive been a fan of their podcast for a while so finally getting to see Kai’s set was hilarious and made the night that much better!
