    Amazing

    by 1concertgirl on 2015-12-08MTS Centre - Winnipeg

Incredible illusionist!! Right from the very beginning.............till the very end of the show. Darcy is also quite a funny entertainer too. The audiences chosen numbers, coinciding with numbers on pieces of paper, with a lottery ticket from over a month ago, the autograph piece of paper magically transferring from his mouth to the person holding hands with him.. oMg, there is just too much,

    DISAPPOINTED

by FROGGETTE on 2015-12-07MTS Centre - Winnipeg

I thought the show lacked excitement and suspense, it was pretty flat. I prefer to watch these illusionists on TV doing "magic" tricks on the streets with real people. Oh well, it was a night out.

It was a great show. My son saw some great tricks that he wants to try. He loves magic and illusions.

    expected more

by Wraven on 2015-12-07MTS Centre - Winnipeg

Other than the final act, the show was ordinary. Darcy might think of going more into comedy or a talk show, he reminded me of Johnny Carson, who also started off as a magician.

    Finally!

by Lostvegas on 2015-12-07MTS Centre - Winnipeg

I was so happy to finally get the chance to see our own Darcy Oake perform after hearing about him years ago through friends and watching his success on Britain's Got Takent. I bought tickets for my family when they were first on sale. Unfortunately, all of us were quite disappointed in the show. I had purchased seats in the lounge end of the arena thinking they would allow us a good view of the acts. However, it turned out they were way too far away, the video screens were not that sharp and the camera man often had the camera aimed above Darcy's hands. We all felt that the smoke and lights were excessive to the point we really didn't get what the steel door act was about! Thank goodness, the dove act wasn't removed as it was definitely the highlight. It was a great way to open, but the show definitely went downhill from there. It needs to be tightened up and presented in a much smaller venue to be effective.

    Venue too large

by Marti on 2015-12-07MTS Centre - Winnipeg

Although the arena was the 1/2 bowl, it was still too big. A smaller venue like the concert hall or even the casino would be better. We had pretty good seats, but there were times when we couldn't make out what was happening on stage. There were screens, but they were small. Darcy was really good, just not in an arena.

Darcy Oake show was very uneventful

by Tonino on 2015-11-17Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

The show was very predictable and we could see that some tricks, like the birds were easy to spot under his vest! If I could get my money back I would.

For his hurst tour to Canada he warned up the crowd pretty good. I would love to see bigger tricks tho, Great show for the kids and good humor/ jokes. Very entertaining show.

We were on the edge of our seats!!!

by 14Jj on 2015-11-17Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

My husband and both children had a wonderful time! For the moment the lights went dim the kids were rivitted to the stage they laughed and gasped through out the show. Giving out the cards so the whole audience could partipate with a trick was fantastic. We are still talking about all the different tricks with our friends!

    The finale was chilling ...

by FrankLee on 2015-11-17Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

However the rest of the show was so-so. Lots of talking. I paid a premium for 6th row from stage and, even then, many of the bits were hard to see, poorly lit and just not engaging.

    Darcy was amazing

by newf80 on 2015-11-17Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

From the beginning to the end Darcy had us amazed and amused. His sense of humour combined with his comfort on stage made his amazing illusions well worth it!

    Darcy was a dud!

by rosey323 on 2015-11-17Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

Did not find Darcy Oake entertaining...from the poor video screen with bad resolution, to the large prop tricks performed at the back of the stage in the dark, to his forced interaction with the crowd, just did not enjoy this show at all. Have seen magicians such as Penn & Teller, and Matt Franco and found their shows amazingly enjoyable, and was looking forward to a fun night...unfortunately it was not...we left at intermission.

It was a great show. Loved the illusions. Only down side would be amount of talking he does through out the performance. More Illusions less talking please.

    Darcy Oake was amazing!

by Terrilp on 2015-11-17Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

Darcy Oake gave an incredible performance. When we entered to go to our seats, we were each given a set of four cards which later he used in the show, and Darcy involved the whole audience in the magic trick and it left us wondering how we did it! He has a funny sense of humour too which made the show very enjoyable! Paying the extra money to be in the third row was worth it!

His performance was better in person than I could have ever imagined from the clips I'd seen of him online ... truly a great showman!
