GREAT concert! They still sound like I remember them...haven't lost their voices. it was nice to hear Mike Nesmith's songs (What Am I Doing Hungin' 'Round, Papa Gene's Blues) sung by Peter Tork. A definite must see if you grew up with this band.
Fabulous! Always wanted to see them, so glad I did! Wish they would have communicated more with the audience, you know, old stories, etc. but it was great anyways. Played a lot of their music, and brought back some great memories. Thanks guys! Still love you!
mickey davey and peter, watched them on tv growing up,now saw them in person and it was just terrific, great memmories, they sounded good, looked good, for any monkees fan just go in my opinion, if you want to relive apart of your childhood go see them it made me very happy,in fact my eyes teared up a bit, those guys were my heros.
WHAT AN INCREDIBLE AWESOME SHOW!!! THE GUYS WERE ON STAGE FOR 1 HOUR AND 40 MINUTES AND DID AN INCREDIBLE JOB!!! IT WAS FULL OF PIZZAZZ, FUN AND HUMOUR. BRING THEM BACK!!!
It was great to go back in time and remember my youth when I used to watch them on TV. They looked a little older of course but still have those great voices. Great show!!
The house was packed! The show was fabulous. The guys were energetic and entertaining. Taking turns as the lead, they performed one number after another with full energy. In addition to playing their own instruments, they also highlighted other instrument players which included brass as well as other guitars. Despite their age, their voices were still great... in fact maybe with more confidence and maturity, they performed better than when they were younger. Even Peter performed as lead in a number of songs. And of course Davy did his romantic ballads (what he was known for). Micky was great with his scatting, and belting out jazzy songs. What was great is that their repertoire covered a variety of types of music - soft ballads, rock, country, jazz and others. My only complaint -- occasionally the sound cracked at high and sudden vocal volumes. Stand-O at the end! and encores!
After 45 years together, these 3 guys are still having fun and remind us that the '60's was a wonderful decade for music of all kinds. Apart from the obvious nostalgia effect, it was great to see the musical talent that Peter Tork has. He was somewhat maligned in the early days, but proved on Sunday night that he is very proficient with many instruments. Micky Dolenz's voice has got better as he has aged and Davy Jones is living proof that 60-somethings can still perform. Such a good show at a perfect venue.

I admit to being biased as I have been a Monkees fan since the beginning, however, they still put on a heck of a show. My husband went just to keep me company and he had to admit that he had fun and really enjoyed it. Micky's voice is still powerful with full range, Davy's has lost some over the years but he is such a showman. Peter is just a nut who is a fabulous musician. The back up musicians were great and at least some of them are from Davy's group. Almost a full 2 hours of music with no breaks. Just a wonderful, wonderful show.
