opening act wasn't that funny. But Demetri Martin was amazing! I wish he did more jokes with guitar but was still awesome!

by JustAgent on 2012-01-21Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Toronto, OntarioGreat Show! Unfortunately I missed some of Levi's set because there were only two people taking tickets (for the 10pm show). Also the theater listed the start at 1030 which was fine because they were late for the 10 that was printed on the ticket.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Hilarious
by Dinopointment on 2012-01-20Queen Elizabeth Theatre - TorontoWas thoroughly impressed and entertained by this show. Both Demetri and the Opening act (the Rogers commercial guy) were hilarious. And the venue was a nice and small intimate place.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Demetri Martin was great!
by gloft on 2012-01-17National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - OttawaIt wasn't very long of a show, but it was very well performed and a lot was packed into it. I think it was great that he involved the audience at the end too. He had a lot of great jokes that I've never heard before and I would definitely go and see him again.
Rating: 4 out of 5 Awesome..
by cows on 2012-01-16Queen Elizabeth Theatre - TorontoI was crying from laughing so hard. Both Demetri and Levi (the opening act) were hilarious. Highly recommend going to see them both.
Rating: 5 out of 5 He really gave it to those Wizards
by Vic1 on 2012-01-16Queen Elizabeth Theatre - TorontoA wizard heavy set of jokes which really put them in their place.
Rating: 5 out of 5by Anonymous on 2012-01-16National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa I was very, very pleased with his performance. Demetri Martin had me laughing pretty much the whole entire time. Demetri also interacted with the crowd which was also entertaining and gave it a more personable performance. The large pad and the guitar jokes stood out the most to me along with topics that people deal with in their day-to-day lives. His jokes were very well presented that would appeal to a wide range of an audience from old to young. Overall, I would highly recommend seeing him live if you have the opportunity and funds to do so. When he comes back to Ottawa I will be definitely be there again for sure!

by JC29 on 2012-01-16Queen Elizabeth Theatre - TorontoAmazing show!! I didn't stop laughing the entire time. They were late getting started because of the weather, but were very apologetic and actually made some great jokes about it. A must see Comedian!!

Rating: 5 out of 5 Demetri Martin | non-stop awesomeness
by kstar16 on 2012-01-16National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - OttawaDemetri Martin was just as amazing live as he is on stage. His simple wit keeps you on your toes and laughing constantly. His interaction and improve amongst the audience was genuine and unique. I would definitely see him again!
Rating: 4 out of 5 Dimitri Martin was very funny
by julieblazer on 2012-01-16National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - OttawaHe is a fantastic one-liner comedian that does not have to use profanity all the time. Good job ! Had a bit of problems hearing his opening act, not loud enough. Dimitri's flip chart with the signs were a bit small for far away.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Jokes. Demetri Martin.
by Janer123 on 2012-01-16Queen Elizabeth Theatre - TorontoA great show! Demetri Martin told a lot of jokes in his set and all were hilarious. Great variety between the Large Pad, Flyers, and guitar jokes, an awesome show all around!
Rating: 5 out of 5 Must-see comedian
by Jarok on 2012-01-15Queen Elizabeth Theatre - TorontoI loved this show. Demetri Martin is a multi-talented comedian/performer. His shows are always impressive and more than just stand-up jokes. But if you get a chance to see him, try to get seats as close to the stage as possible. He often uses a large paper pad that might be hard to see from a distance.
Rating: 5 out of 5 I found myself thinking, this guy fears dolphins?
by BigHarv90 on 2012-01-15Queen Elizabeth Theatre - TorontoDemetri Martin is a great comic to see live. His comedy style to me is reminiscent of that of the late & great Mitch Hedberg, with his own qualities that help to set him apart from Mitch and from other visual-use comedians. Demetri is really laid back on stage and has a real knack for connecting with the audience. I was thoroughly entertained through his performance and I had a great time. It was totally worth the extra wait for the show to start - Demetri and his group were delayed by snow storms. I'd see his show live again for sure and recommend seeing him if you get the chance.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Wish it went longer
by Frank0208 on 2012-01-15Queen Elizabeth Theatre - TorontoIt was a great show. I couldn't wait to see Demitri live.

Rating: 5 out of 5 No Cold Jokes in Canada
by CassandraS12 on 2012-01-15Queen Elizabeth Theatre - TorontoOn one brutally cold night in Toronto, those who managed to gather at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre for Demetri Martin's early show certainly felt much warmer. His witty humor was fantastic and unforgettable. The laugh ratio was great; he received a consistent amount of laughs and kept topping his material. He's done it again is all I can say and the crowd loved it. As a comedian and a fan, Demetri remains a true inspiration to me and I have a lot of respect and admiration for him. I wish him the best of luck as he continues his tour. I'd also like to mention that Demetri's opening act, Levi McDougal was hilarious! He wrote for Important Things with Demetri Martin and was a perfect choice as Demetri’s opener, I can’t think of anyone better to have gone up before. The audience enjoyed his set a lot. I personally thought it was awesome, a job well done :)
Rating: 5 out of 5 Worth the Wait!
by PeachGirl on 2012-01-15Queen Elizabeth Theatre - TorontoI had been looking forward to this show for a long time, and I was not disappointed. On such a gloomy, frosty night I sure needed something to put a smile on my face! I loved his delivery on his jokes and his sketches were great. I had completely forgotten that he arrived late for the show after the first ten minutes. I'm waiting for him to come to Toronto again...but hopefully it's in the summer!
Rating: 5 out of 5 Great Show.
by Pyper on 2012-01-15Queen Elizabeth Theatre - TorontoIt was an overall great show. Demetri Martin was on the ball and funny the entire time and the guy who opened up for him was quite funny as well. The only downside had nothing to do with the show but with the venue, no drinks were allowed in the theatre area so your beer had to be finished by the entrance doors.
