    Hilarious!

by shackelton on 2012-01-15Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Toronto

Both comedians were hilarious! Didn't love that the show started 45 minutes late and we had to wait in line outside in the freezing cold while the people from the easier show took their sweet time leaving. I felt like the show was shorter than it should have been. Also, we couldn't see the drawings from our seats :(

    Demetri Martin is hilarious

by MetallicaDan on 2012-01-15Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Toronto

Most excellent show from funny guy Demetri Martin. This was my second show at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre and I'm liking this venue more and more. Demetri Martin did a lot of new material, including an encore and is as witty as ever. He had me and the crowd laughing the whole time. Definitely worth seeing live. Opening act Levi MacDougall was also really funny and worth checking out. Overall an excellent evening! I highly recommend seeing Demetri live and I'll be there next time he is in town.

Dimitri can take something you thought was perfectly normal, anything, and reveal why it is hilarious. You missed something about every day life that was odd, how is this possible? If you're looking for an evening of intelligent humour from a comedian that delivers something new and refreshing, go see Dimitri. Rob in Hamilton

    Hilarious

Mr. Martin was in good form as usual and had the audience in stitches. I particularly enjoyed the posters for a coffee shop and the drawings. More please!

    Okie Dokie!

by AnyaNatasha on 2012-01-10The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

The event was great! At one point, I couldn't stop smiling and my cheeks hurt! My fiancee said the same thing afterwards! The opening act (Levis something or other) was great as well, but you could tell that he was a little more green than Demetri, who was very comfortable on stage. His drawings and jokes with a guitar were great. He interacted with the audience, making fun of two people in the front row that showed up part way through. He also improvised, talking about the Canucks v. Bruins game when he had no idea about the big game earlier that day. He was great at making fun of himself, and was open about preparing for his next tv special. It was a great time!! Money and time well spent!

Love Demetri, he is crazy funny and his delivery is flawless. I really enjoyed the variety in his show, the jokes, the drawings, the guitar, the signs. Highly recommend it.

Witty comedy with unique takes on everyday things

by comedysput on 2012-01-10The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

Very weak opening act that didn't really get the crowd going; however, once Demitri came out this wasn't a problem as he warmed us up quite well and it wasn't too long before we were erupting in laughter. His unique take on everyday observations is a fresh style of comedy that isn't to be missed. His act is punchy, filled with short stories and one-liners, designed to get you laughing and keep you laughing. Overall, great evening. Only cons were a few areas of "trial" material which turned out to be a bit weaker compared to the rest, but still an outstanding show nevertheless.

    Great night of comedy!

by Carly85 on 2012-01-09The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

The night started out with a nice surprise - comedian Levi McDougall, probably best known for the Rogers commercials, was the opening act. He put on a great set and had everyone laughing. The night got even better when Demetri came out. He brought out the elements he often uses - standup, his flipchart, the guitar - but also improvised and interacted with the audience. Even when a joke didn't go well, he found ways to make it funny. I would definitely recommend this show to anyone.

    Demetri is the best

by 60percentofthetimeitworks on 2012-01-09The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

Demetri is an amazing, natural comedian. Very witty, doesnt struggle to get laughs and doesn't rely on gross out humor as a fallback plan which is usually the situation with many other mainstream comedians. His intelligence shines through in his comedy and his one liners can't be beat. His unique style never ceases to amaze.

Demetri had a great opener(Levi MacDougall) and a wide range of his own comedy on stage. I was amazed at his ability to make jokes out of crowd interaction. It was great.
