The venue was comfortable, the seats were great, the band was not bad. I think Dr Hook has some of the best songs ever written...ie; Sharing the Night Together, Only 16, When Your in Love with a Beautiful Woman, Sylvia's Mother, and of course The Cover of the Rolling Stone...and Dr Hook didn't disappoint, they played them all as well as many other well known songs. Ray's voice has aged and he doesn't really have the range anymore but boy he sure has the character. He was fun and friendly, he chatted at bit. He stopped and signed an autograph to a particularly annoying, persistent fan. A good thing really or she would have driven him nuts and we all would have suffered. My biggest complaint has to be the frequent loud screechy feedback we were forced to endure during several songs. Sometimes the feedback screech so loud and so much I really missed the performance. That part was too bad. You would think by now these kind of problems would be all worked out. But all and all this 90 minute show was pretty good. It brought back lots of memories. I noticed that after the show Ray Sawyer took the time to shake/touch the hands of all the many fans lined up by the stage. Very Nice.
