Our family of 7(2 grandparents, 2 adults and 3 kids aged 11,13,15) visited Destination Dinner Stage on Sunday, Nov 2, 2025. We watched Die Harder: A Manitoba Christmas Story. We loved it from start to finish. Loved the clever Winnipeg city humour and wit(the main character’s name is John Portage… pronounced Por-tauge). Funny jokes that only a true, loyal Winterpegger would love! Wonderful acting from local Manitoba artists that is always top notch and entertaining. Amazing singing from the whole cast. The main character John Portage has been in many productions and always is my favourite. Looks exactly like Chris Pratt. Can sing, act, dance and tell a good joke to get a reaction. Great improvisational skills. The songs were all 1980’s(my husband and my generation) so we jammed out to all of them. My parents knew all the songs as well so we all chair danced and sang in the shows entirety. The food was great. Our group had the McClane’s Yipee KiYay Beef and the Hans Chicken Schnitzel. Both were delicious and enjoyed by all. For dessert was Officer Powell’s Pumpkin Latte Cake. Yum! So good! If you are looking for a great night out over this winter season, this show will not disappoint. Will go home with a full belly and a happy heart. Yippee-Ki-Yay!
Winnipeg is so blessed to have this option of entertainment!
A very entertaining evening, script was very funny and so Winnipeg! Actors were great, food was delicious and well presented. Servers very professional. Well done!!! Looking forward to the next presentation in the New Year!
It was a fun night. The cast was obviously having fun, so the audience did too. The cast was very talented. The ABBA songs in Mamma Mia! are well loved and so there is some pressure to do them justice. They very much succeeded. Sisters Ashley and Dara are always a delight to watch. I won't miss a show that they are in. Well done by all the members. (How did they get the waves on the set to move, lol.)
The songs and the singing were so good and such incredible local talent. The meal was perfect and so delicious. Was the perfect way to celebrate our upcoming birthdays this month.
Great show with talented performers. So glad we got the dinner theatre back after Celebrations closed. Winnipeg needs a venue like this. Always enjoy my time there. I’m glad they discontinued having audience members go on stage, both for non-speaking parts in the show and for birthdays/anniversaries. This was just a time waster, and now much more efficient having guests stay seated and cast moves to them to announce. Food was okay…Greek salad lacked feta.
We really enjoyed our evening at Destination Dinner Stage. Each one of the actors were engaged and so talented. We could tell they loved performing. Thank you!
We all got together for dinner and a show at Destination Dinner Stage and it did not disappoint! The evening was well-paced, with a nice balance between dining and the live performance. The menu offered something for everyone, and the food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Service was attentive without being rushed, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The show itself was a highlight. The performers brought incredible energy to the stage, blending humor, music, and interaction in a way that made the audience feel part of the performance. Their professionalism and enthusiasm shone through in every number. Overall, it was a fantastic evening out – excellent food, outstanding entertainment, and a welcoming atmosphere. I would highly recommend Destination Dinner Stage for anyone looking for a fun, memorable night with friends or family.
We visited Destination Dinner Stage with a school group. We all loved it (kids and adults ages 10 to 50). It was a new experience for the kids and they were singing along the entire time. The food was fantastic and the portion sizes were good. I’d recommend it again and again.
