    Interesting

by Marc on 2020-03-02Théâtre Corona - Montreal

Besides being absolutely uncomfortable in the upper section at the Corona theatre, crazy, this place was made for hobbits...! Devin was quite interesting in his quirky usual self, very talented obviously, vocal and as a guitar player, as was the band, but they are not a metal band unfortunately. Maybe I expected a little bit more madness but not in a Walt Disney way. He was all over the place, changing set list, experimenting, taking off his close, etc..just plane weird at one point. But very talented, maybe I've associated him too much with the Strapping Young Lads years. I do not know of his other albums as well and because he did some much that I didn't follow him as much. Missed the first band and should've missed the second, my God what was that?!.. definitely didn't care for the singer of Haken, no talent at all. sorry.

    Very good, but Haken...

by Desumondo on 2020-03-02Théâtre Corona - Montreal

The contortionist were clutch as always, Devin Townsend gives a wacky, awkward (the good kind of awkward) show, wasn't disappointed by them at all. But Haken, on the other hand... They played for like maximum 35 minutes ish and the setlist was terrible. At least I have no issue with their musicianship. But for real I left the venue Mad AF.

    Amazing show

by Kellsteener on 2020-02-29Théâtre Corona - Montreal

I have seen all of the top metal bands on the last 30 years (yeah I know Devy is not strictly metal), and Wednesday’s show in Montréal was maybe the best I’ve ever seen. It had everything and surpassed my expectations, which were very high.

First of all, the sound was incredibly clear and nice, I'd really appreciate all the notes the bands throw me! And what can I say about Devin Townsend..?? He is simply a living legend. 10/10 for the show

Small venue + amazing musicians = win

by motoaxe on 2014-11-26The Gateway (SAIT) - Calgary

Monuments were very good. Not familiar with their catalog but I need to look into them for sure. AAL are amazing. Seeing it from 15 feet away is mind blowing. Devy is Devy. If you're reading this you already know he's one of the most kooky, prolific, and creative people out there in the metal world.
