The concert was amazing! I love this venue, it is so intimate. I have seen this band 10 times, and they are always amazing, they're the best band in the world. I went to the Meet n' Greet and highly recommend it. The guys are so nice and it's a pleasure to meet them.
There were 3 opening acts, that made it a little annoying to wait through as each of them played 5 songs each, but on the whole it was a really good show.
Amazing show! Great opening bands. I was impressed with the use of space at The Gateway. There was lots of room for everyone to enjoy the show. I was glad there was a coat check and a beer tub as there was quite the line up for drinks at the bar.
I felt very honored to see Devon in such a tiny setting! It was fantastic to pose as the audience for his "practice gig"... LOL! His genius as a musician is not camoflaged by his apparent need to provide comic relief...which in all fairness, he's pretty damn good at too. His vocal range is stunning. The seemless transition from nearly operetic vocals to gut wrenching growling and back again without so much as a crackle in his delivery is nothing short of freakishly beautiful. He has also surrounded himself with a nice complement of bandmates and they played together with an old familiararity that made it look easier than it obviously is to crank out those tunes. My only complaint is that we couldn't take them home with us and set them up in our livingroom.... Now THAT would be the bomb!
I never had so much fun at a concert. Devin was obviously having a great time and gave this feeling back to the fans. Show was perfect and this band just rocked the place! AWESOME!!!
incredible, Devin is one of the most talented musicians of our day. Never miss this show. I even drove 6 hours to see it.
Plain and simple, another great show and this time in the proper venue for him. Always a fun and sick time.
This was my tenth time seeing Devin play live between SYL and his solo projects. Devin always delivers the goods, but this was the first time I can remember him being so over-the-top happy. I was a little surprised they didn't play Earth Day or Seventh Wave.
What a completely amazing show! Though Devvy would just play newer stuff from Deconstructed/Ghost ut the setlist was just amazing.... songs from pretty much every DT album to date. Truly an amazing experience.
The main reason to see Devin Townsend is his amazon on stage presence. He plays his music very well and puts on quite a memorable show.
