Loved the interaction by the audience. The band was absolutely outstanding and the talented singers were dynamite. What a great experience that I will remember and cherish. I hope to have the opportunity to experience such an innovative approach to theatre again. Kudos to all - and that includes the Northern Alberta Jubilee's staff members.
The live band performing the music for DIrty Dancing were very talented and full of energy and enthusiasm. The dance party and multiple songs at the end of the movie were a huge surprise. They had everybody up standing and dancing in their seats. A very fun event!
Loved how they showed movie Dirty Dancing, Had a Live Band with 3 Fabulous Singers Really enhanced the enjoyment of the show! Highly Recommend!
The singing and live band were amazing but we watched the movie…. I thought there would have been more acting.
Cannot believe I paid so much money to go sit and watch a movie at the Jub. The live band was great but this event was overpriced IMO
The only complaint is it did not start on time, otherwise everything was awesome. It was a good experience-never attended a film in concert.
I obviously didnt read closely enough. Didnt expect a movie rerun. Ghe singers and band were good.
The singers and band were really good, but didn’t think I was going to a movie I’ve seen a lot of times. Thought I was going to see some sort of play or dance on stage. Wouldn’t recommend this to anybody
at times it was very difficult to hear and understand the actual movie. the picture was quite grainy probably due to the large screen. the spot lights that kept turning would shine in our face and kind of blind us. I would not attend a show like this again. I really appreciate live performers doing a show thank you
What a fun way to watch a movie with a great soundtrack! The musicians/performers did a wonderful job and sounded great! We were lucky and got tickets on mega sale for $25. Would I pay $75+ to go? ....no....but for the price we paid it was perfect!
Paid 75$ to watch the movie and singers would sing every so often. Biggest RIP off
The band and singers were really good, and it was fun to watch the movie with a huge crowd. I did find a couple of times the band was too loud to hear some of the lines. I also think it was a bit pricey for what you got. Overall though, if you are a dirty dancing fan, it was a really fun night out!
When tickets bought expected a live production. However; the presentation was excellent and enjoyed every minute. The band and singers were amazing!
A lot of money to watch a movie Singers weren’t that great Disappointed and would not go again
It was good but rather expensive for being just a movie.
Disappointment is an understatement. Had we known we were paying a premium to watch the movie, we would have stayed home. Although the band was extremely talented, we didn’t feel it added to the show or experience and was rather a distraction from the movie. After attending and seeing other reviews, we aren’t alone with our feelings. The description needs to be more detailed. And there is a lot of room to make the show better. Bring some dancers out on stage to perform or something. Very disappointed.
Screen should have been at least double the size it was. Band was ok, but they sang over the words being spoken in the movie too loudly. For $65 a ticket I guess I just expected more.
I bought my tickets thinking this was a play based on the movie Dirty Dancing. When I got there my cousin told me this was the movie, not a play. I thought she was joking! Yes, there was a great band and very good singers but watching a movie that I’ve seen multiple times and paying $83 to do so is ridiculous! When I looked up the description of it ,it did kind of say that this is what it is but come on, $83 for a movie! I felt ripped off.
I think many folks were expecting live dancing; a re-enactment of some of the famous dance routines from the movie. Not simply put the movie on and play the music from it. Speaking of the music and the band playing it. They were fantastic!
