Disney on ice was a fun ice show geared for family . It was very attention focusing fun for both the two and six year old with us.The sets and creatures and stories and ice skating were all the very best . The special effects were great. The only real draw back was the excessive costs for the candy floss and toys associated with show.
so-so--tired costumes, many of the line skaters looked like they were trying out, not knowing routines, falling.
My son is 4.5 years old and loves anything Disney as we recently took him to Dinseyworld. On Sat we took him to Disney on Ice and he has been talking about it ever since. The show was fabuous. Tickets were reasonably priced. Food, toys and parking are expensive as to be expected but thankfully my son didn't ask to buy a pile of stuff. I do think prices for food and toys could be a bit lower as it seems like robbery and many parents cannot afford $30 for a stuffed toy or $15- $20 for popcorn, cotton candy and snow cones, espeically if they have more than 1 child. I would take him again in a heartbeat.
The show was terrible! All old characters! Where were the princesses? I felt it was a real waste of money! We have been going to this show almost every year for 25 years and this will be the last!
Great event, well organized, started on time. Kids loved it!
This was another wonderful production my Graddaughter and I had a lovely evening looking forward to next year.
Kids loved the show, the music was great and the costumes were amazing.
The first half of the show was terrific, moved quickly, and kept our grandchildren's attention. The 2nd half was slow with too much time spent on one segment - Peter Pan. It needed to move faster and have more segments to keep young children stimulated.
- performers were so so - they have been showing the same act i..e. Peter Pan, etc for over 20 years. It is time to freshen up their act with new Disney movie theme like Frozen - my 3 year old and 5 year old granddaughters were restless in their seats and did not pay much attention to the stage. They would rather play with their toys than watch the show. - not good value for money
My grandchildren loved the show. It was my grandson's third time and my 2 year old granddaughter's first time.
Started off with promise, with Mickey Mouse and Friends, followed by Lion King. Great Start! However, it was downhill after that.. my 10, 7 and 5 year old, wanted to leave once Lilo and Stitch showed up.. what a long winded segment that was. After the intermission, Peter Pan the last portion of the evening which had it's moments mind you, was not enough to save the show imo. It gets a recommendation from me, based on getting out for a wholesome family event and the price is much better then "The Frozen" DOI show, but that's it.
The performers were great but i found it a little borrowing. No story really behind it. I hope Frozen comes next year.
Show was entertaining. All concessions and souvenirs overpriced. We had a nice afternoon out. The best part of the show was Little Mermaid. The worst part of the show was Lilo and Stitch (they are not a fan favourite and never will be so stop trying to win us over already).
My Granddaughter wanted to see "Frozen" but I didn't want to drive to Toronto. So, I booked Passport to Adventure. She loved the show. Great performance. The music, the story telling and the skating was fantastic. If you have any reservation about taking the kids to see this show, be a hero they will love you for taking them.
We hadn't been to a Disney on Ice presentation for a few years and decided to give it a try. We were very disappointed. They concentrated on 4 movies. Peter Pan (1953), Little Mermaid (1989), Lilo and Stitch (2002), Lion King (1994). With the numerous movies they could choose from I was shocked on 2 of the above. (Lilo and Stitch and Peter Pan). Furthermore concentrating the most amount of time on Peter Pan (the entire second half of the show) was unnecessary and boring. What happened to Beauty and the Beast? Pocahontas? I will probably not do it again.
The kids had a great time at their first real show of any kind. They are only 4 and 2 years old and it was great for their age. The only real disappointment was that the cotton candy was $15! That's outrageous. There was not a lot of choice in the swag stands for anyone who was looking for different price levels. The minimum seemed to be $20. So plan accordingly. Bring your own snacks if you want to save money.
Good show but was wanting to see Frozen. But was very excellent.
Only one princess. My 5 year old was bored. Have been 3 times and it has only gone downhill. Won't be wasting my money again.
Love the Show, The characters and the skaters did an amazing. Can't wait till next year
