Disney Princesses on Ice was lovely

by FranKay on 2015-03-26Stampede Corral - Calgary

The show was excellent and the costumes were perfect. Great skaters and the sound was good. Sets were also very good and we has no issues knowing which story line we were watching. The only issues I have is with the prices for the foods and toys. This is a kids event and I feel that after paying the prices for the tickets I should not be ripped off in the food and toy courts. A wand - worth no more than 10$ at most sold for 40$ - cotton candy with a unusable Olaf Cap out of cheap sponge 18$ - what if you come with 2 or more kids...what if you come with one and cannot afford these outrageous prices. As parents or grand parents we are stuck with kids happy for the event and then devastated that they cannot get the same things as richer kids. I really think you should look into this and keep all children rich and poor in mind. It is all about the kids....not the profits.

    Fun for the whole family

by Conni on 2015-03-26Stampede Corral - Calgary

We left this as a surprise to the girls and they were ecstatic. They had the most fun compared to all the Nickelodeon concerts we've taken them to and the tickets/seats were worth every penny. Food and gifts are just as expensive as any other venue but we always bring our own food. There were 3 different souvenir shops allowing for quick lineups and a photo booth with Elsa/Anna. Customer service was awesome. We will take them every time Disney comes to town

Disney on Ice Heroes and Princesses

by strawberriez on 2015-03-25Stampede Corral - Calgary

The show itself was really engaging and awesome. The thing that was not awesome were the prices of the merchandise. RIDICULOUS to ask people to pay $20 for Shaved Ice and $15 for cotton candy AND those were the cheap prices!!! On Sunday they charged $30 for the ice and $20 for cotton candy!!!

    nice show

by AlexGo on 2015-03-25Stampede Corral - Calgary

This was a really good show.. well organized and right timing. Overall we had a good experience, highly recommended. I was surprised by the high cost of Disney merchandise offered at the show... good products but in most cases not worth the price.

Show was Great! Merch is Terrible...

by CSFR on 2015-03-25Stampede Corral - Calgary

The show was awesome, both my kids loved it, but the merchandise is absolutely atrocious. $18 for a bag of cotton candy and a hat that doesn't even fit the children it's purchased for and no option to not get the egg carton hat with it. Absolutely unacceptable, will not be buying ANY products from these events again. But that does not tarnish the event itself, we've attended the last 2 events now and the kids have loved it both times. Would definitely go again, just bring your own food/drinks in or be prepared to shell out your life savings.

Will go again for a third time.

    by 2sistersandabrother on 2015-03-25Stampede Corral - Calgary

My two daughters (2.5 and 4 years) and I look forward to this event as a mommy daughter day. The girls dress up in full princess costume and enjoy the company of many other kids dressed up in every character you can think of. Boys too uncluding a little Spider-Man who sat beside us this year. Tickets are comparatively affordable and the small venue means no bad seat in the house. The show focuses on different story themes each year. Last year Lilo and Stitch was a big part, this year Aladin and Frozen. The Frozen portion did not disappoint. The only negative comment I have is that they sell Disney garb and food at concessions and it is just stupidly priced. $18 for cotton candy that comes with a foam Olaf hat and $20 for a snow one in a cheap character cup. $40 for a flashing snowflake wand. It leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. If you want your kid to have a take-away, go buy something at a regular store and bring it as a surprise.

Great night out with my daughter

    by cowgirl2 on 2015-03-25Stampede Corral - Calgary

This was only the second show ever I have taken my daughter to and she loved it! She was mad when they stopped for intermission, she wanted the show to keep going. I only wish the concession items and souvenirs were not so expensive. It was really hard to have to say no because I didn't want to spend $25 on a snocone in an Olaf head....... Overall a great experience though and great memories!

    Magical!!

    by 1BellaBaby on 2015-03-25Stampede Corral - Calgary

Disney on Ice Princess and Hero's was simply Magical. Our 4 year old loved every moment, and the skaters made it extra special by taking the time to skate right up to our seats and stop and wave to her throughout the show, I don't think I've ever seen her smile as big as she did that day. Front row seats were amazing and the production was fantastic. I simply can't say enough good things about it, it's a must see for every Disney lover out there.

Disney On Ice presents Frozen... isn't it....?

by CanadianCavalier on 2015-03-24Stampede Corral - Calgary

Disney On Ice presents Princesses & Heroes could actually be called "A smattering of Princesses and a few heroes but mostly Frozen" The show was good but in the end, one third of a two hour presentation is too much to dedicate to a single feature. That ratio bumps up to about 40% of the show if you do not count the intermission time. Positives: Skaters were very talented Props were excellent Lighting effects well used and impressive Music and musical cues were fantastic
