    Disney on Ice

by CharlieChaplin on 2015-03-16MTS Centre - Winnipeg

Was okay, but not as good as previous years. Too much of the same thing. Cars were nice but that part of the show was a disappointment and Toy Story took up the whole second half of the show. Need more Disney characters.

The show was ok.... The change of direction from traditional princess to more boy themed was not done well.

My son loved the show; we enjoyed the fact that it wasn't all Disney princesses etc... I wish there were a bit more stunts and tricks instead of just skating around, but it was pretty good over all. Since this wouldn't fit in the "tell us about your seats section" I'm posting this here... Our seats were great until a lady and her daughter sat behind us and her daughter continually kicked my chair blew in my hair, almost got my hair caught in one of those twirly toys... she also kicked my son in the head a couple of times as well. I know you'll encounter kicking of the seats when kids are involved but I also don't think we should have to worry about kids making the show almost un-enjoyable.

    Not worth the money

    by DMC09 on 2015-03-16MTS Centre - Winnipeg

We are huge fans & love everything Disney. We have taken our son to Disney on Ice for the last 4 years & have always left feeling like we cant wait to go back to WDW with the exceptionof this pperformance. It seemed very long and drawn out to the point that half way through the Toy Stoy performance all we could hear were kids talking and crying. The skating was very nice but the whole show seemed very amateurish. Also the air quality in the arena was very poor, $15 for drinks $13 for parking plus another $15 for cotton candy that came with a cheep useless hat that doesnt fit. We were really disappointed and had this been the first time we had seen a Disney on Ice show we definitely would not be going back.

    Too long, too boring

by NotNIck on 2015-03-15MTS Centre - Winnipeg

On paper, the show seems good, focusing on Cars, Little Mermaid, Tinkerbell and Toy Story. However, the set up of the show is terrible. Cars receives maybe 10 minutes of ice time at the beginning, followed by about 15 minutes of Little Mermaid. Then it is all downhill. Tinkerbell, for some unknown reason, gets about 25 minutes, and without any songs, it is virtually all dialogue for a story most kids and parents don't know. When characters from Cars and Little Mermaid come out, kids are excited and you can hear them ohhing and ahhing. When it was Tinkerbell, silence followed by the kids getting bored. Then it was intermission, or as it should be dubbed, money grab time! Because there is nothing else to do other than pee and purchase way overpriced toys and trinkets (e.g., $15 for cotton candy...but it comes with a cheap cars hat!). Then after intermission, it was 45 minutes of Toy Story, which seems fine in theory, but for some reason, they focus on the storyline from Toy Story 3 and then proceed to give Barbie and Ken about 15 minutes of solo time (because that is who everyone remembers from the Toy Story movies, right?). Again, without any songs, it was very dialogue heavy. This is fine when it is a few minutes, but it went on way to long. Two hours is too long when the average age of kids is probably about 5 years of age. Kids were getting stir crazy all around us, including our own. Would rather the show have been 75 to 90 minutes and cut the intermission. My wife had been to 3 other Disney on Ice performances over the past 5 years, and said this one was by far the worst. Stick with the favourites and it will be fine.

    DISNEY ON ICE!

by canadiandirectioner on 2015-02-28Canadian Tire Centre - Ottawa

The show was good! There was the classic characters like Mickey, Minnie and Goofy. The Cars character were also there driving around! Ariel and her undersea friends were singing and trying to defeat Ursula. Tinker Bell and her fairy friends were trying to save spring! After an intermission, a certain cowboy Woody and his friends came out to play! I liked this show because it had Ariel and Tinker Bell! I am 20 but a kid at heart. I think that the second half of the show (all Toy Story) was a bit too long for some kids to sit through but had a good sense of humor. All of the kids were happy to see their fave characters. I think this is a good experience especially if your kids have not been to Disneyland or Disney World, so they can get used to seeing their fave characters before they see them up close. The kids can dress up in princess dress too if they want to. I would recommend this!
