Wonderful wonderful performance!! Fantastic skating and very entertaining. I wasn’t prepared for the 10min “talk/asking for help” from world vision (?), AND then followed by a 20 min intermission. I don’t mind at all about the world vision, we’re a sponsor already, i didn’t like not knowing about it and then the intermission. The intermission isn’t necessary, just make the show 1 hr & 40 min which includes 1.5 hrs of skating, 10min world vision, have it at the beginning.
It was fun to see some of the figure skating giants still doing their skating with passion and enjoyment.
I'm not a huge fan of figure skating (I originally bought the tickets for my partner and some of her family members who are fans of the sport) but I had such a great time and was on the edge of my seat in amazement with the talent and routines from each of the skaters. If this show came through next year, I would definitely go again.
I enjoyed watching some of the skaters but I left wanting more. I wish Elvis would have skated more - the advertising highlighted him but we only saw him skate twice - we saw way more of the other skaters than we did of him. Kaetlyn Osmond was wonderful. Keegan Messing & Nam Nguyen are both fantastic skaters and I really enjoyed watching them. Jeremy Abbott has an individual style all his own and reminds me of a young Kurt Browning. Elladj Balde - I could have watched him skate all night - what a BEAUTIFUL skater - absolutely breath taking.
Skaters were amazing! Sound system was loud but quality was not good. Commentators announcing skaters was hit and miss. We wondered why the jumbotron wasn’t used for providing details of skaters as it was used at the intermission for a fund raising video.
It was a shame that we did not FILL the rink ! Such great talent in a small venue so you see all their moves across the entire ice. This event would cost SO MUCH MORE in a bigger city (Vancouver, Toronto, etc) all local skaters should have been there !
Heartfelt, expert show with something for everyone. Including many heart stopping jumps! And all ages show very graciously enacted.
Thought it would be more geared toward children. By intermission our seven year old was crying because it was too loud and she found the single skaters could not hold her attention.
Welcome back to Kamloops, Stars on Ice! It has been over 20 years! It was a wonderful festive program to celebrate the season! Come again soon!
