    Dora herself a big disappointment

by NancyM1333 on 2013-12-09Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

This event was strange! Dora had light orange eyes and didn't look anything like her character because of it. It was really ridiculous looking. What is the point of bringing your kids to see Dora when she looks really odd and nothing like her usual self?? Big mistake on behalf of the costume team. Also, the chase scenes would have been more engaging of the audience had they actually chased each other on stage, instead of just simulating a chase. Three year olds find it much funnier to see people truly running or hiding or whatever instead of Dora running on the spot pretending to be doing something. Conceptually, I think toddlers understand a real chase better than one that is simulated. I don't think they truly understand their demographic.

    dora the explorer

by vacation4 on 2013-12-04Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

The show was amazing. But, we purchased the seats that included a picture taking with Dora. Which went very well. But, in previous shows the chiidren were given snacks, drinks, etc. at this show no snacks of any sort. My grandson questioned why not. At the price we paid you should of had something because of the hour we attended. I was not the only one complaining. People around us came with four children and could not believe you only got a juice box or water. We were in a private area which would not of made any messes. Very dissapointed in this. Went to see Max and Ruby paid the same amount for the picture private sessiion and did receive. Other people received Dora dolls and flashlights - why were we different. would like a reply.

The Show was amazing...the Sony Ushers were not!

by Yasimom on 2013-12-04Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

My three and a half year old daughter was so excited to see Dora and Diego. We went to the VIP pre-show party. It wasn't much of a party. In the end, the whole point was to get a picture with D&D. The show was great. I purposely bought aisle tickets so that my daughter could stand up and dance. The ushers came up to us twice to tell me, very rudely, to make my daughter sit down. (This has not been a problem for any of the previous shows we've been to at the Sony Centre!). One Usher also complained when we asked him for the Stars before the show started. It left a bitter taste in my mouth, but my daughter, thankfully, had no clue. 5 stars for the show. 3 stars for Sony Centre and staff.

by BigDoraFan on 2013-12-04Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

My (barely) three year old daughter who is not known to sit still for very long was mesmerized. I don't think she blinked once through the whole show! Yeah for Dora! Can't wait to see her when she comes back!

    Dora was Boring

by MommyMommyMommy on 2013-12-03Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

Dora was a very low cost production. There were very few props and the show was primarily made up of people in costumes with one scene and a video screen. I guess after going to Disney on Ice the last couple of years I was just a little underwhelmed by Dora. Kids enjoyed it but I feel like they would have been just as impressed by a $40 movie. Tickets + Parking + 2 $15 Wands (which were dollar store quality) = Not enough bang for my buck.

    Dora the explorer ---

by Disbelief on 2013-12-03Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

The children were happy and excited. The adults felt the show could have shown some up- dating. Some costumes look tired and the use of stagehands, wearing headsets, to change sets, seemed a little old fashioned. We also were startled that the show started late and broke for intermission half an hour later. Our 5 and 2 year old guests were quite entertained.

My 3 Year Old Loved It!

by Anonymous on 2013-12-03Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

This was my preschoolers first outing to see a live show and she was mesmerized. She loved Dora, Boots and all the characters. She sang and danced in the aisles. We (mom and dad) even found it entertaining and high energy. All of the kids in the theater seemed to enjoy the show. We look forward to many other similar shows in the future.

My 3 year old loved it!

by PurpleBear on 2013-12-03Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

Show is great for toddlers. My 3 year old daughter had so much fun. Able to keep her full attention for the entire show. Participation is a plus for kids. Very colourful and lots of characters appeared on the show. overall great show. We bought VIP package which I felt is not worth it. They said there is a "pre-show" but actually its just an opportunity to take picture with Dora and Diego. I am actually expecting more and was very much disappointed. Not worth the price paid for the VIP package.

    VIP Function a disappointment!

by Davimora on 2013-12-03Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

The show is great and very well done! The cost of the VIP package and the pre-party was very disappointing - a photo, a drink and a closer seat was not worth it, sadly!

by RLagman on 2013-12-03Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

It was a good show for kids. I was not so sure if it was allowed to take videos that's why I didn't get the chance to video take them esp with a dark background without the flash.

    Great Dora Show

by Kcab on 2013-12-03Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

Went with my 4 yr old daughter, 2 yr old son and 5yr old niece. The kids all loved it!! My son watched in awe and the girls were jumping and dancing to the music. Loved the interaction with the kids and how all the kids would respond. The only issue was traffic getting down to the Sony Center. With all the construction we were 10 minutes late for the show even after leaving the house super early. Also, I think we had already seen this Dora episode on TV or the internet so it wasn't new, but the kids still enjoyed it. We also found it to be short. The kids wanted more, maybe a half hour longer would have been great. Overall, great show would recommend it to others.

    Love love love it.

by Navi0143 on 2013-12-03Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

We purchased the tickets to take our 7 and 2 year old for their birthdays and they loved it. The show was so fun and Interactive it was great. The only problem I had was not with the show but with the venue . They ran out of booster seats so we couldn't get one, also they were giving away star stickers to the kids and a lot of kids didn't get them my kids being 2 of them. When I asked I was told they ran out. But overall the show was AWESOME
