Took some of the grand kids to see Dora the Explorer Live! It was awesome. The kids, ages 3 - 6, were thrilled. The show was very engaging for the childern. They got very involved and had an amazing time.
This was my first kid show with my 2 1/2 year old and it was much better than I had ever expected. The colors and props were amazing. Giving children opportunities to participate and get up and dance is great since they have a hard time staying seating very long. I loved seeing the joy on my son's face and how much he danced and jumped up and down, especially at the finally. I would definitely go again.
The kids really enjoyed as did we, the parents. We never went to the NAC before and enjoyed it there much more than at the Scotiabank place a few years back. Great show!
My two girls loved the show...very catchy songs through out and plenty of audience interaction...my only concern was the snack availability. I know the NAC is a more formal setting for kids' shows but it would be nice to have the traditional kids' snacks like popcorn or ice cream at these type of events. Other than that...my girls had a blast!
Great birthday gift for my grandaughter, she loves dora, to see her amazed at seeing a real dora, and dancing, jumping to the music, waving her dora wand, watching all the kids, laughing and really enjoying themselves, made us feel real happy. We need more young childrens programs
I purchased these tickets in honor of my 2 year old's birthday, she & her 4 year old sister both loved the show. My husband & I were expecting a "cheesy" show but were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the content, the decor & music... I think we enjoyed it as much as they did!
These tickets were a gift to my niece and her daughters and they were thrilled. The show had them enthralled from beginning to end and they talked about it for days after.
We enjoyed the latest Dora show. It was all very well done and my kids liked it. Having been to a Dora stage show and a Diego one before, I can't say this was my favourite. Perhaps it was just that it wasn't the first time so it lost the excitement and novelty of being the first stage show we'd seen. I think there is some confusion with people playing Dora and Diego and more muppet like characters playing the other roles. I understand why it is done this way but my kids have been to many meet and greets before and always wonder why Dora and Diego are so different in the shows. Also, when we do see them in the show, each time it is a different actor so this adds to the confusion whereas something like map or Benny etc are more easily identified on stage. Anyhow, it was well done and we recommend it.
We all had a great time. My girls were dancing and singing!
This is the first time my daughter went to a real theatre to enjoy a show. I can tell she was enjoying it every minute.
The role play for all the characters seam so real for my 3 year old. The music and backdrops were fantastic. Would love to take him to similar show again.
The majority of the kids were participating with the show. The characters were what we expected with the exception of Dora. We were expecting a costume (like the other characters) with a big Dora head but I guess that would make it difficult. My daughter (2.5yrs) was expecting that too as she kept asking where Dora was. We wanted to get a photo when all the characters were dancing at the end but the ushers were preventing people from doing it. It wasn't like we had a huge lense camera! We spent a bit of money on the tickets and the promotional merchandise so I think taking one or two pictures isn't asking too much. Other than that, she loved it! It was very peppy.
There was not enough time with characters before & after the show. Actor interaction.
The show was great the kids were mesmerized and stayed in there seats the whole time it was great! The break in between the show was a god send for their little bladders, it meant that they could watch the whole show and didn't have to worry about missing anything because they had to go to the bathroom, thanks again for an amazing time.
The show was great, very entertaining and interactive for the kids. All the kids up up and dancing, singing along and watching very well throughout the entire show. Not many things are able to keep a 2 year olds attention like that! Great job, especially the map was very well done!
My mother and I took my 4 year old niece. She was absolutely thrilled with the magical performance. She has been a huge fan of Dora's for years. The brilliant colours, music and dancing was fantastic. Having the children in the audience involved with the stars was so cute. She could not take her eyes off the stage. We would definitely return to see another performance of Dora.
My 3 year old daughter enjoyed it. It was good I only thought that the characters being kids, they should have had kids voices. It is not that hard to change your voice, I wish the actors had done it. Apart from that, really cool kids show.
Driving in from Motnreal, I guess I expected more from the show. My daughter, who is if four, seemed to enjoy it but was not really enthousiastic about it. Perhaps the venue wasn't the best suited for this kind of audience. The kids wanted to get up and dance; some did but many were relunctant. Perhaps a different venue where the kids are closer to the action and can feel more a part of the show would probably bring me back.
I want to this event with my little 4 years old godchild. We really enjoyed it. But I found that the ticket price was too high for kids.
The show was excellent! My two three year olds did not stop moving. Thank you!
