  • Just Excellent!

by J.F.H on 2023-05-05The Danforth Music Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

My 3rd time seeing Doug, second time seeing him at the DMH. Took my younger cousins (over 30 yrs old) to see this legendary, hilarious, deep, and brilliant philosopher/comedian. Nobody was disappointed. We left with aching bellies and larger minds. Great venue, my favourite venue. As always, Doug killed it…yet it always seems like his brilliance is accidental. A surprise to him as much as us. The place felt warm and close to him. He is simply incredible.

  • 5 star comic

by Jabs on 2023-05-02The Danforth Music Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Doug isn't everyones cup o tea - but he had an audience of 1500 in the palm of his hand. Not only was he his own opener, he kept the crowd while some dude passed out before his closing bit! Good on ya, Doug.

  • Not his greatest show

by Kevin on 2023-05-01The Danforth Music Hall - TorontoRating: 1 out of 5

Have seen him twice before & was hilarious both times. Very little to laugh at this time. Doug is at his best when he is controversial & that just was not there this time. Still one of my favorite comedians but he just did not deliver this time.

  • Uninformed

by CG on 2023-05-01The Danforth Music Hall - TorontoRating: 2 out of 5

I did not appreciate that I received no information about start times for the event. All I was given is when the doors opened. I did not know when the performances began, or whether or not there were any opening performances before Stanhope came on. I actually ended up missing. the first 10 minutes of his show as I walked in at 7:40pm. This was extremely frustrating and made it difficult to plan my arrival to the venue.

  • Meh

by Dave on 2023-05-01The Danforth Music Hall - TorontoRating: 2 out of 5

It was okay till he got too drunk about a hour in. Rambled a lot. Not the worst show I’ve seen. But it’s down there. He was also his own opening act, never seen that before

  • Ramblings of a past life

by Sky on 2023-05-01The Danforth Music Hall - TorontoRating: 1 out of 5

2018 Danforth performance was brilliant, hard hitting classic Doug. The same audience came out for the 2023 show but the laughter was missing, a la Elizabeth Smart. A stated two years worth of materials could barely find 20 minutes of funny in a 1.75h show without openers.

  • Worth every penny

Doug can have all my money, I had so much fun laughing my ass off.

  • Go See Doug

by Wyrmbait on 2018-05-19The Danforth Music Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Do some research. If you like a nice clean comic that never says terrible things, go see Bill Cosby. But if you like comics that are funny, go see Doug. He spent quite a bit of time on the king of Thailand, #metoo and dead children, so if you like that type of comedy, go see him. Show was sold out. All the people there were cool.

  • the show was amazing. Doug Stanhope is the best.

Doug Stanhope is an amazing comedian. The show was awesome. I bought 4 tickets as soon as I heard he was coming to Toronto. My friends enjoyed it very much as well.

  • We Hurt...

A truly gifted comedian. But comedian doesn't serve him justice. He's a philosopher with abstract humour.
