Duff McKagan's LOADED Rocked ThePacific Coliseum
by Python46 on 2011-12-20Pacific Coliseum - Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada-12/17/2011The stage was set for the return of Gun's and Roses and just three days before the show we find out ex GnR Guitarist Duff Mckagan and his band Loaded are the openers. I could not believe the luck. Wow. I had to call everyone I knew and I got the exitement rolling. I grew up a teenager in the Seventies and I was a fan of Punk from early on. DOA, The Ramones, The Sex Pistols are some of my favourites. As soon as Duff and his band took the stage and opened with Sick, The place Punked! I was on my feet and was just rocking. None of the people around me knew who was on stage. I had to tell them it was Duff. He has a lot of fans now. Duff even mentioned he had a lot of influence from Vancouver's DOA from the Seventies and Eighties. He reminiced about how he would cross the border from his hometown in Washington State, Seattle, and come and rock with the Vancouver music scene. Loaded played for a rocking one and one half hours. A lot of opening acts just play for forty-five minutes or an hour. Duff rocked for a concerts worth. He played two covers from GnR too. So Fine and Dust N' Bones. I had a feeling Wednesday when I heard he was the opener he would jam with AXL Rose and the Guns. He did on You Could Be Mine and Civil War. What a blast. What a Show! I can't wait for you to come back for another show. Loaded Rocks!
