  • Exceeded my expectations!

by Cinderelly on 2018-03-14Club Regent Event Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

He was just great. I feel sorry for you if you did not buy a ticket. This guy is the epitome of country music. Polished and professional. The sound was perfect and he did a great range of country music His voice is as good as it’s ever been. So glad he is still touring. Man that concert was the levity i needed. Will go again if he comes back. His tribute to Merl Haggard was fabulous. Loved it!

  • Dwight was mediocre

Dwight came out upset due to technical difficulties.

  • Dwight Yoakam

by Glenny111 on 2018-03-13Club Regent Event Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

He played with lots of intensity. Did 3 or 4 songs running together nonstop. Sound was good, loud, a little distorted (too loud) and I like loud. I'm surprised it took the sound guy so long to correct it it, if at all. But I have to say I had a great time. It was my first time seeing Dwight, and I didn't know what shape he would be in. He was in good, strong voice, seemed to be having a good time, as the crowd did also. Played for about 1 hr 45 min, came back for an encore, think it was over 10 min. Would definitely see him again, well worth the money, good venue.

  • it was kind of fun

by cinder123 on 2018-03-13Club Regent Event Centre - WinnipegRating: 1 out of 5

The warm up band was awesome... was good to see Dwight play but the music was just way too loud that that the guitars were just noise some of the time I should say most of the time my husband had to leave the concert because his ears were hurting so bad.. which made him angry.seating in his seat. The first band no problem don't know why so loud when 75 % of the people were over 50

  • Not bad

by 2016 on 2018-03-13Club Regent Event Centre - WinnipegRating: 3 out of 5

Found that it went to fast. Hardly interacted with audience. Seemed pissed off just after he walked on stage. Too much Merle Haggard songs.

  • Terrible sound

by MC78 on 2018-03-13Club Regent Event Centre - WinnipegRating: 1 out of 5

I’ve been to many concerts at this venue and never had a bad sounding concert until this one, it wasn’t the venue, it was Dwight. His guitar sounded so bad, it was so high pitched it hurt you ears.

There was an issue with Dwight’s (or venue?) equipment, squeaky sound. I was surprised that nobody did anything about it! Also, the artist was unhappy about the way he had to work with a stationary microphone, judging from his comment he expected a portable one so he can move, dance and sing.

  • Unbelievable Performance

by Tender on 2018-03-13Club Regent Event Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

What a great concert!! Dwight sang amazing, taking no breaks at all.He was awesome and he never sipped water which I thought was crazy. Most performers need to drink something while playing & singing but he never did. His voice was strong throughout all his songs. I loved how he moved around the stage - so much energy!!

  • Dwight Yoakam sounds as good as ever

Excellent show , his voice is as good as ever and he does his thing effortlessly

  • Has the Voice and Moves

by Atee on 2018-03-12Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

It was a pleasure to see Dwight Yoakam for my first time. He did not disappoint with his great vocals, despite a sore throat. Neither did this hamper his iconic dance moves, albeit a bit slower, on the stage. Brandy Clark - who I was not familiar with - was a wonderful surprise as the opening act. She's a great singer song-writer and was accompanied by two very talented performers on guitar and bass violin. She has great vocals and her songs are both poetic and edgy.

Great night - was surprised at how he was in great shape and his voice was almost like when he was young!!!

  • My ears hurt

by Anonymous on 2018-03-12Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 1 out of 5

Brandy Clark was amazing and the sound was perfectly set for the building. For some reason Dwight came out playing at a volume level of 12 on an amp with a max of 10 - feedback and all. His guitar sounded like a string on tin can. People left, got ear plugs from the Jube staff and came back. Even that didn't help. Hard to believe the sound techs at the back couldn't fix the sound after 10 songs in such an amazing building. Left like many other people!!

  • Dwight Yoakam absolutely amazing in Calgary.

by SquirrelGurl on 2018-03-12Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Dwight Yoakam totally wowed me at the Jubilee. First time seeing him. Fantastic venue for a show like this. The band was phenomenal and Dwight was completely amazing. Coolest guy in country music. Won't miss him when he comes around next time.

  • Dwight but vocally a bit muddy.

by Hornpuppy on 2018-03-11Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 3 out of 5

I enjoyed it but the vocals were somewhat muddy and inarticulate. If those had been clear, I would have rated it much higher.

  • Dwight was great!

by Anonymous on 2018-03-11Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5

I enjoyed the concert for the most part. But there was quite a lot of feed back on the sound system. Overall, I think they could have used a little less volume and the sound would have been better. I love the Jubilee auditorium, and this is the only time I’ve been unhappy with the sound quality.

  • Dwight's concert was exciting.

by Alila on 2018-03-11River Rock Casino Resort - RichmondRating: 5 out of 5

Dwight's concert is a must-see event for everyone who is a country music follower (OR ..... if you just love great live entertainment). It is packed full of his greatest hits and more. It is a "get up and dance" concert. The band is very talented.
