About

The Eagles possess one of the most storied careers in all of music. The California group, formed in 1971, have sold more than 200 million albums globally with six releases reaching No. 1 on the Billboard 200 through their final studio album, Long Road Out of Eden (2007). The band also holds the record for best-selling album in the United States with the 1976 compilation Their Greatest Hits 1971-1977 certified 38-times platinum. Their immediate follow-up Hotel California, released later that year, ranks third on the U.S. all-time best-seller list at 26-times platinum. The Eagles made an instantaneous imprint on rock music with their indelible 1972 debut single “Take It Easy,” and over the years released five No. 1 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 including “Best of My Love,” “Hotel California” and “Heartache Tonight.” The band earned six Grammys throughout their career, and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998. Founded by Don Henley, Bernie Leadon, Glenn Frey and Randy Meisner, the Eagles have forged ahead as a live outfit featuring Henley, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit, Vince Gill and Deacon Frey.

    Show of a lifetime

by reniekins on 2010-05-10General Motors Place - Vancouver

A spectacular event to be sure! A good mix of old and new and much effort was put into their sets. Good long concert with a terrific line up of songs and a much appreciated encore. Should the Eagles conclude the tour and retire - I saw a real treat peformance. Vocals were strong and they nailed every song. Loved it!

    Eagles - better than ever!

by Bibianna on 2010-05-10General Motors Place - Vancouver

I have loved the Eagles forever, but I thought I just enjoyed the "old stuff". Last night I realized that their new material is as good, or better, than the standards that I still never get tired of hearing. Sure, Tim's voice ain't great - and I do not enjoy Joe Walsh, but Joe Walsh and Stuart Smith are outstanding guitar players, and Don Henley can still rock 'em - WOW!!!

    Eagles were better than ever!

by eaglesfan on 2010-05-10General Motors Place - Vancouver

How is it possible that these guys get better with time. Joe Walsh - you are out of this world - no one should be able to play the guitar like that.

    One Word.. AWESOME!!!

by splashover on 2010-05-10General Motors Place - Vancouver

I wasnt expected to see this concert, but because one of the persons had to go out of town, I had the pleasure of attending. It was funny walking to the stadium not seeing many people under the age of 40 ish, everyone showing their ages with greying hair or the dreaded wrinkles, and mid drift bulge,(also known as beer bellies to some..)..lol..As for the concert it was cool to see all the guys together for this event, playing music from all the star players. You definately got your moneys worth with NO opening acts, and they playing for 3 hours, with only a short 30 minutes break. It was a truly great concert, for a bunch of old guys, they can still surely rock.. GREAT concert!

    The concert of a lifetime

by nlfisherman on 2010-04-28MGM Grand Hotel - Las Vegas

OK, so the concert was basically exactly like watching the 'Farewell 1 Tour" DVD, with a few song additions/deletions, but hey, it was still The Eagles and they did not disappoint. Well OK, they left out "Tequila Sunrise" and "New Kid In Town", but the show was 3.5 hours long and the band didn't miss a beat. Stuart Smith is absolutely amazing on the guitar, and since he's been touring with them for several years and co-writing their newer songs, making him an "official" member is long overdue. I didn't like how he was cast off to the right side of the stage, as his contributions were just as meaningful as the other 4. Kudos to the road crew for including Smith on the jumbotrons just as much as the rest. They opened the show with Seven Bridges Road and closed out with the customary Desperado. My favorite "Eden" song, Waiting In The Weeds was also included, and Glen gave Stuart full props for his guitar work & co-writing of the song. It was a full house at the MGM Grand, and everybody loved the show, although you could tell a few "Eden" songs were lost on many. Ample concession stands with typical concert pricing, and ushers were friendly and eager to help. All in all a magical evening, and ranks with Fleetwood Mac '09 at MGM as my 1A,1B favorite shows of all time. Aside from omitting "New Kid", this was the perfect show. 9.5/10, with the half point deducted for omitting the classic tune.

    Eagles Rock On

by Janski on 2010-04-28Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

I travelled all the way from Canada's Arctic met up with Sisters and have to say the The Eagles still have it going on. The Eagles have been one of my all time faverite bands and they delivered an amazing show, mixing old with new, and everyone performed some of my all time fav's. To hear them live with their harmonies, and incredible instrumentals and of course songs brought the house down. Looking around and speaking with some of the fans they have quite a following. Young and older :) fans were singing their hearts and souls out along with them. Our young adults grew up listening to them as we played the heck out of our albums, and they will continue to be the next generation of music lovers. The hollywood bowl was a fantastic setting for this event. I still have not been able to wipe the smile off my face. Thank You Eagles for forfilling one of my top100's things to do. Hope I get a chance to see you again.

    Amazing Eagles

by Cabinlady on 2010-04-27MGM Grand Hotel - Las Vegas

I am so glad I attended the Eagles concert in Las Vegas. It was an amazing concert, and the sound at the MGM Grand theater was crystal clear. The band has not lost any of their talent or humour, and it was great to be among the baby-boomers having so much fun and singing along to the songs. The concert was just the Eagles, no opening act and they played until almost midnight. A great memory.

    Eagles put on best show

by DickOdo on 2010-04-26MGM Grand Hotel - Las Vegas

We just saw the Eagles at the MGM in Vegas. They put on a great show. There was no warm up band so it was Eagles for almost 3 hours. Joe Walsh was fantastic with his guitar playing. If you get a chance to see this concert......GO.
