    Great Show

by amande on 2009-07-26The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas - Las Vegas

I had a Chicago on my bucket list and they delivered a show that met and exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend the Chicago/Hearth wind & Fire show. We had approx. 2hrs and 45 minutes of great music and entertainment.

    E W & F, Chicago was high energy

by ladypearl on 2009-07-23HP Pavilion At San Jose - San Jose

wow, there was alot of talent on stage. these two band mix together well. the music brought back all kinds of great memories and at the same time brought some great new ones. if you weren't up dancing your feet and hands had to be tapppin to the music. i love hearing these songs that i haven't heard in years and still being able to sing the words to them. i was disapointed in the sound (bass was way over done, i could hardly hear the rest of the the band) i don't know if it was the venue or the sound people.

Chicago was good. Earth, Wind and Fire was okay.

    by James2 on 2009-07-22WaMu Theater - Seattle

The Chicago portion of the concert was the reason that we purchased the tickets and therefore, we enjoyed it the most. The Earth, Wind and Fire portion was okay but the vocals were indistinguishable at times, and because we did not know the lyrics, it just became music. However, some members of the audience enjoyed Earth, Wind to the point that they stood up and danced throughout their performance which blocked our view. We go to concerts to listen and watch the performance, not to dance, so that is always annoying when the band encourages the audience to stand up.

    They were Givin' Er

    by EWFCHI14 on 2009-07-20WaMu Theater - Seattle

Very Well Done. Tons of energy. When both groups were together, especially for the 4 final songs, it was awesome. Made all of us oldies feel young again.

Earth Wind & Fire/Chicago Feelin' Stronger Every D

by TripleGGG on 2009-07-20WaMu Theater - Seattle

Friday, July 17th at the WaMU Theater in Seattle Earth Wind & Fire and Chicago rocked the house. No warm up act !! Just over 3 hours of great memories relived. Each group still has 3/4 original members. They have been together for 40 years. They played all their greatest hits and even had both groups on stage at the beginning and end of the show. Ending with 25 or 6 to 4 was fantastic. All 3 guitar players had a chance to solo. Verdine White (bass player for EW&F was as hyper as usual, dancing around the stage the whole set. A concert I will never forget

    What a rocking night!

by Paulz on 2009-07-20WaMu Theater - Seattle

On their own, EWF and Chicago are great, but teamed up....well, best decision either band has made in ages. When they get together for two of the four sets, the place rocks, with the horns, lights an on-stage antics bringing the entire theater to its feet.

by beenthere on 2009-07-20WaMu Theater - Seattle

The Transit authority left the station without an engineer. Peter Cetera where are you? Thank the musical gods for EW&F! They saved the show., provided emergency services and "all was not lost".

    Holy Smokes!!!

by Edweirdo on 2009-07-19WaMu Theater - Seattle

I've been a hardcore follower of Earth, Wind and Fire for at LEAST 30 years. Seen many of their shows. I've also followed Chicago for almost as many years and loved many of their songs to this very day. I wasn't sure what to expect when I heard the both were going to be in the same venue. I kinda figured it'd be good just because they'd be playing their old favorites, which they did. What I DIDN'T know was that they BOTH would play at the same time with many songs. I cannot express my complete amazement and utter audio ecstasy listening to them both at this concert!!! To hear at LEAST an 18 piece set was indescribable! The brass section from both groups playing at the same time to many songs was nothing short of incredible!!! I can discuss this for HOURS how good these two bands played together, let alone separately with all their fantastic hits!! I've seen acts from Pink Floyd to Led Zep to you name it. This night by FAR tops every concert I've ever experienced in my life!!!!!!!!!!

    What a concert!

by INXS on 2009-07-18WaMu Theater - Seattle

I have been to many concerts since my first one in 1974 and this one has to be in my top three. Hit after hit was played and the finale with both bands playing the last four songs has to be the best of all time! Whether you like both bands or only one of them, this is a must see concert. And how Phillip Bailey can still sing like that after being with Earth Wind & Fire for 40 years is simply amazing.

Amazing!! Highly recommend! They have both gone the distance like only the best of the best can - the old favourites, the music of our lives- and the new . The show was indescribable- sensory overload!!! Thank you Earth, Wind and Fire & Chicago!

    Outstanding (as always)!

by PsychlerDude on 2009-07-18DTE Energy Music Theatre - Clarkston

I have been a fan of this stellar group since the 1970's and had the privilege of seeing them live in Detroit recently. The power and passion hasn't diminished one beat despite their enviable longevity. They dazzle. The vocals soar, the rhythm section hooks you, and the horn section (my personal favorite) add the knockout punch. The three original members are a delight and never seem to tire of putting on a their well-polished show. They do all of their hits and add some catchy interludes to show off their virtuosity as musicians. My only wish was that Maurice White could have been there, but I know that he was in spirit. I will get out to see EWF as long as they tour. Simply the best of the best.
