    They've still got it!!

by TripleGGG on 2016-11-12Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Saw Chicago & EW & F this week in Vancouver B. C. Went to to a similar show in Seattle about 5 years ago and the bands are just as great with even some improvements, notably Chicago bass player/singer Jeff Coffey. Not only can he hit all the high notes of the melody of 25 or 6 to 4, but has a better vocal ability and tone than original Peter Cetera. A most worthwhile 3 1/2 hours

    Rocked the night away!

    by Rocker57 on 2016-11-11Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Chicago and Earth, Wind and Fire both came out on stage at the beginning of the concert. The crowd went wild! Then E, W and F played for an hour; a short intermission, and then Chicago played for an hour; and then both bands came together on stage and played for approx. another hour. It was amazing! Everyone sang along, never tone danced, clapped. It was a night to remember!

Earth Wind and Fire and Chicago

by bikermga on 2016-11-11Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Great concert - actually 2 concerts in one. First they played a few tunes together, then EWandF alone, then Chicago alone, then more tunes together again. Ran from 7.45pm to 11pm with a short break in the middle. Twenty one performers in total on the stage!

First time to watch both of them and its a rare opportunity to see them both perform side to side! Its a wonderful review of their hits and the stage was magnificent with all the bursting colors - very 70s!

    Wonderful!

    by QueenOfLeon2014 on 2016-11-11Rogers Arena - Vancouver

I grew up listening to Earth Wind & Fire because of my parents, and learned to like Chicago when I was older. Watching both together was such a wonderful experience. Can't believe I was there!

Two groups, lots going on, Enjoy!

by Gridlock on 2016-11-10Rogers Arena - Vancouver

EWF well done, especially the harmonies received nicely. Chicago, new voices, split compositions - with long instrumentals in between, resulting in a feeling of repeating the same songs. EWF and Chicago, together so nicely, mixing up great voices from both groups to match the appropriate hits. Enjoyed the light show backgrounds. You have to see this show twice to sort it all out. So much going on. Enjoyed it immensely. The venue at GM, Rogers, Place Vancouver, section 116 had some weird speaker sounds with cracked up highs at very high decibels. Sometimes i bring a variety of ear filter materials to soften the loud but forgot this time.

    FIX THE SCREENS

by MYBOYHARLEY on 2016-11-10Rogers Arena - Vancouver

THEY WERE A BIT LATE COMING TO THE STAGE ....AND WITH A MONDAY NIGHT CONCERT, MOST PEOPLE HAD JOBS TO GO TO IN THE MORNING .....ON TIME WOULD BE NICE .....FRIDAY , SATURDAY NIGHT...YOU CAN TAKE YOUR TIME ...MID WEEK...DIFFERENT MATTER ...COULD NOT SEE THE VIDEO SCREEN VERY WELL DUE TO THE HANGING SPEAKERS...YOU NEED TO HAVE SCREENS ON BOTH SIDES OF STAGE FOR THE PEOPLE AT THE BACK...THE SCREEN BEHIND THE STAGE SUITED THE PEOPLE IN THE FLOOR SEATS BEST ,,,AND THEY DIDNT REALLY NEED THEM..... CHICAGO WAS VERY GOOD....PLAYED ALL THE HITS AND PLAYED WELL...A COUPLE OF THE SONGS WENT ON A BIT LONG THAT GOES FOR BOTH GROUPS..LOOK, WE KNOW THEY CAN PLAY...WE DONT NEED A 2 MIN GUITAR SOLO IN MORE THAT ONE SONG TO PROVE IT ......THEY ONLY HAD ONE DRUM SOLO AND THAT WAS OK .....E,W AND F...IT SEEMED TO ME THEY DID NOT PLAY A LOT OF HITS.....PHILIP BAILEY EVEN COMMENTED WHEN THE CROWD WAS A BIT SUBDUED...THAT "THESE SONGS ARE NOT ALL TOP TEN HITS...BUT ARE TOP TEN IN YOUR HEARTS"....THEY COULD HAVE PLAYED MORE WELL KNOWN SONGS AS FILLER...YES THEY DID PLAY THE BIG HITS AND THEY WERE GOOD.......I DONT KNOW IF PHILIPS MIC WAS FAULTY BUT I COULD NOT HEAR HIM TOO WELL FOR THE 1ST PART OF THE CONCERT....THAT NEEDS TO BE FIXED WITHIN 2 OR 3 SONGS..NOT HALF THE SET.....WOULD HAVE LIKED TO HEAR "EASY LOVER" FROM PHIL...OK IT'S NOT AND E,W AND F SONG....BUT IT COULD HAVE BEEN DONE IN THE ENCORE WITH ONE OF THE CHICAGO SINGERS TAKING THE PHIL COLLINS PART......THAT WOULD HAVE BLOWN THE ROOF OFF THE PLACE.......THE CONCERT WAS OVERALL GOOD AND WE GOT OUR MONEYS WORTH...

    Katwoman

by Anonymous on 2016-11-10Rogers Arena - Vancouver

We had a awesome time @ Rogers arena. For a bunch of old guys they were right on the money. The horns were really tight and drums with percussion solo in I'm a Man was excellent. Earth Wind and Fire was just incredible just as good if not better than they always are. 5 star show and our 1st time in VIP on the floor. We'll be back. Sound quality was so much better than BC Place. I still hear the tunes!

    Out of this world.

by Anonymous on 2016-11-10Rogers Arena - Vancouver

What a fantastic concert. At one point, when the two bands play together, there were 6 drummers/percussionists on stage. And 6 horns. Just so much fun and energy. And, of course, it takes you back to another point in time in your life.

    Out of this world!

by Hokubaby on 2016-11-10Rogers Arena - Vancouver

What a fantastic combination of these two great bands! Philip Bailey still has a voice that can reach to heaven! Chicago sends your blood pressure through the roof! This concert has you up and dancing the whole time. The light show was awesome! House was full and it was worth every dollar I paid and then some! You have to go!

Retro evening with two classic acts!

by Vencouver on 2016-11-10Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Talk about a trip down memory lane. A great show by two legendary groups who clearly still love what they do.

A combination act with great energy

by GerryG on 2016-11-10Rogers Arena - Vancouver

This venue seems large for Chicago, but when combined with Earth, Wind and Fire, the setting was excellent. The evening was exceptional value, with 4 segments to the show. The bands are showing their age, and the quality of some to the songs was a stretch from where they have been in the past. This is the best it can be, for today, and I enjoyed this more than any concert I have attended at Rogers Arena.

    Great show

by Hophenster on 2016-11-10Rogers Arena - Vancouver

The musicians were great. The mic on the singers could have been set louder. It was hard to hear the singers sometimes.

A great reminder of the best rock/brass bands in the 70's and 80's. Wonderful music of both genre's and professional stage presence. Sang with the bands and everyone was up dancing. Loved it!
