  • Mid

I usually go every year; however, it wasn’t as good this year. Hunter wasn’t in the stands interacting with fans, no puck throw, and Connor McDavid wasn’t even there. I know it was only $20, but low effort in planning this event.

  • A lot of the negative reviews are missing the point

by Scott on 2025-01-04Rating: 5 out of 5

I've noticed that in a lot of the negative reviews, it seems like a lot of people either expected this to be a huge event on the level of all star weekend, or basically a game with cheap tickets. The event description clearly says that it's a family friendly event that isn't meant to be anything serious, and just a fun way for the players to test their skills. If you go in expecting that, you won't be disappointed. As for me, I loved last year's and this year's can't come soon enough. It's short and sweet, very family friendly, the Ruff Ruff Relay is very cute (who doesn't love the players’ dogs?) and there's even some bonus fun with Oilers Alumni!

Kids has a blast!!! We will definitely go again. An hour and a half of good affordable family fun. Wish all games were this price. ;)

  • We had a great time - great for all ages

This was our first time attending this event and we all loved it (adults and kids). I would recommend to any hockey fan. The Players seemed to be having fun. We even caught a signed hat at the end. I look forward to going again.

  • Most Excellent

First time at the skills comp and I honestly didn't know what to expect. We had great seats, great competition, what else could one ask for?? Oh! There is one thing, in the future, try to include those patrons in the gove aways that can't afford the more expensive seats. And remind the fan experience staff that you cannot always see someone's disability, that was highly disappointing to have to had dealt with that.

  • Fun night out

Great family event for all Oilers fans. The tickets are affordable and fun for everyone. Our kids loved being able to get in the building and watch their favorite team have some fun.

  • Had fun. Nice to see the players having fun.

Well - organized event. A few competitive tasks were assigned. The players teased each other and that was fun to see.

  • Overall great event

by Sarah on 2024-01-07Rogers Place - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

Skills competition was a ton of fun. My biggest complaint? That people in the Upper Bowl were left behind when it came to swag. Parachutes with toques rained down and none came even close to hitting the upper bowl. My kid didn't bother trying to participate in the "loudest fan"contest because he figured they were only paying attention to lower bowl. It's really unfortunate, for an event where tickets are all the same price, that there wasn't any effort made to include people in the upper bowl

It was fun . The upper bowl left out of alot of the free stuff and fun stuff .
