    Rocked my Socks Off!!

by PirateKitty on 2011-03-21Sait's The Gateway - Calgary

As always, an insanely enjoyable time. No other band can get a room going like Electric Six. They always play a great mix of songs old and new, not just the 'hits' either, lots of variety from their back catalog. There's definitely a great chemistry between the Calgary crowd and E6; good times had by all!!

    Electris six kicks!!

by Wineguy on 2011-03-21Sait's The Gateway - Calgary

This was the second time ive had the pleasure off seeing this great Detroit-based rock group. Ths shows was packed with tons of energy from start to finish. Everyone in the crowd and in the band was totaolly into the gig. One highlight was when the ruthem guitarist body dove into the crowd and continued to play while doing so. Dick Valentine was his usual carismatic self. Great and! Great time for all!!

    Electric six was HOTTT!!

by Anonymous on 2011-01-01The Horseshoe Tavern - Toronto

And I mean hot, the Horseshoe tavern was at least 3000 degrees. Other than that, great show, high energy, fun crowd. Solid! Can't wait for another Toronto date.

    Electric Six at the Horseshoe

by sunshinedaydream on 2011-01-01The Horseshoe Tavern - Toronto

Great show. Played all their classics. Keyboard player was a no show :( Venue was smokin' hot...literally - must have been close to 30C on stage! It's December and the bar had to resort to turning on the AC. In general, young crowd. Way better show last March at Lee's Palace. Electric six rocks and sounds a lot better live than on any of their recordings I have ever heard. Band has a presence on stage - hard to describe. cheers,

    Fantabulous!

by crashtempo on 2010-04-21Starlite Room - Edmonton

I'm going to agree with everyone else at the Edmonton show... 3 hour wait time... not so cool but the venue was good. Paper Lions were good (drummer was AWESOME) Electric Six was even better than I had imagined. I went because it's my boyfriend's favourite band but watching Dick Valentine make fun of the people who kept jumping onto the stage (security could have been waaaaaaay better) and his general attitude and the rest of the band's energy they've made me a fan for life.

Electric Six, just a bit more effort

by ChristyMcC on 2010-03-25Venue - Vancouver

For me the show was alright...at the end the lead singer began to ramble on a bit, making no sense....it was funny at first, but sad by the end. The Music was awesome! It usually is with these guys. There was one ass in the audience who kept trying to mosh, but just pissed everyone off...I wished someone in charge had confronted him about it. Too bad Mr.synthesizer couldn't be there, probably would have been better with the full SIx, felt a bit ripped off from that. But what can ya do? The show overall could have been longer, with a few more of their bigger hitting numbers added to the list...also I wasn't sure if they sang any of their new songs...if it wasn't a super recognizable song, it didn't seem to be sung as clear.

    Bored as hell.

by LadyBella on 2010-03-25Venue - Vancouver

Just what I wanted was to be pummled by some fat guy all night. If you go and you want to actually see the show keep well back. But don't bother; unless you're a die hard fan you won't understand a single word said.

Fire In the Old Disco With E6

by Anonymous on 2010-03-23The Starlite Room - Edmonton

Skeptical friends enjoyed this so much they asked for a E6 cd after the gig. Dick Valentine was full of energy and sarcasim which is always entertaining, but it was the music that was incredible for me! I love these guys...

Electric Six, bringing hope to Albertinians

by MarcB on 2010-03-20The Starlite Room - Edmonton

Heyyo, These guys put on an Amazing show no doubt in my mind. The silly antics of Dick Valentime, Colonel on his side looking badass in his aviators, White wolf dishing out some juicy licks, percussion world showing some Albertinian pride, and Smorgasbord sending bass rhythms through my soul.. all around great show indeed! Too bad Tait Nucleus? was not there, but still a great show none-the-less. Oh, and Paper Lions had a great show too, the bongo solo was fantastic, and they definitely are a great modern band from PEI. I'll have to grab one of their cds and not just the preview 5 track one they had with a shirt there.

    Edmonton's premiere party band!

by fallenrosepetals on 2010-03-20The Starlite Room - Edmonton

Electric Six was awesome and Paper Lions were really good too. This was my first time going to the Starlite Room though and I coulidn't believe that there was a 3 hour wait from the time the doors opened until Paper Lions came on, the wait was pretty excessive.

The opening bands were not the best but tolerable. I used earplugs to muffle the sound (the volume was a tad loud). The drinks are average priced, which is good. If you want seating get there early, unless you want to get up close to the stage/band and stand throughout the show. Visibility was great pretty much everywhere, you were almost always close to the stage. Electric Six was AMAZING. The place is medium sized so it makes for a very cozy and personal atmosphere. If you are really into a band that you want to go see, that place is a good place to go since you get a personal show compared to large amphitheatres where you might be rows and rows back straining to see the show.

This show was awesome but the waiting time sucked. The Doors opened at 8pm the concert didn't start till 11. Minus the wait the opening band Paper Lions and Electric Six were awsome

Electrix 6 Keeps your feet tapping - days later

by Andreaaficionado on 2010-03-15Lee's Palace - Toronto

What a phenomenal show, quality, authentic live music at its best. Electic 6 have a very potent mix of originality and quirky character, they are a blast to see live. When the encore called for Dance Commander, everybody HAD to follow the command. Great show, reminds me of their Detroit roots.
