  • Epica Rocks!

The show was excellent. I love the smaller venues, very intimate, yet rockin and loud!

  • Epica was amazing

One of the best concerts I've ever seen - great job

  • Awesome show, VIP tickets not worth it.

    by Chris81 on 2010-02-12Republik - CALGARYRating: 4 out of 5

I had a great time, but the band looked a little road-weary during the VIP meet-and-greet. It's was just a receiving line where you got to shake hands and say hi, but not much else. The rest of the night was fantastic. Blackguard is definitely worth seeing if you get the chance.

  • Epica Saves the Day!

by MrShayne on 2010-02-12The Starlite Room - EdmontonRating: 2 out of 5

When I bought the tickets to this show, I was extremely excited. Epica have been a band that I have loved for quite some time, and the fact that they were coming with Daath sealed the deal. Suddenly, a week before the show, I noticed on the posters around town that Daath wasn't playing and had been substituted for Threat Signals. The opening bands were exceedingly mediocre. I've seen Blackguard at 3 of the last 4 shows I've been to, and I still don't like them. They just come off as trying to hard. Threat Signals were metal-core pure and simple...they just weren't good at it. They didn't fit with any of the other bands. By this point I was considering leaving... Then suddenly, Epica! They were the saving poing for the show. Simone Simons vocals were spot on. overall it was a good time, but only because of Epica. They are the only reason i would reccoment this to anyone.

  • Epica Winnipeg

    by Matt1147 on 2010-02-11Royal Albert Hotel - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

Threat Signal and Blackgaurd I felt did a nice job at opening up foe Epica. Epica had a nice setlist which consisted of 12 songs. They could not perform the Piano Solo due to "technical issues." At the end of the show, they play an extra song to make up for what they couldn't play.

  • Good... but cold have been better

by wordlesswriter on 2010-02-10Royal Albert Hotel - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

I was hoping for more from the concert.... the VIP tickets were nothing special because the band had to walk through the crowd to get to venue.... the venue wasn't that great. Unfortunately simone had problems with her mic, as a result it was near impossible to hear her vocals for half the show. However the band had lots of energy and were great to watch. It's a pity that there was a pole in the middle of the stage. I would go see them again, but I would probably not get VIP tickets next time and I would hope that it would be at a different venue.

  • Such a bad place for such a good band...

by zelrik on 2010-02-09Royal Albert Hotel - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

I really liked the performance, it was a very good show that matched what I expected from listening to their albums. The only problem was the place, it was a very small room poorly equipped. They had some technical issues several times... when the main singer is leaving the scene in the middle of a song every once in a while to fix her microphone... that's not fun. It was so bad actually that a few people left the place before the end...:( . The band didnt get discouraged though, they kept playing no matter what and also kept the song consistent even without the main singer. Anyway, I got a handshake from the singer, so I am not complaining.

  • european perfection!

    by asheri13 on 2010-02-03Mod Club Theatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

first off i had the vip tickets so there was a meet and greet before the show started and they were all so sweet and easy going down to earth people... no rush to get through the line, they just kept chatting, definitely gotta give them tons of respect for that! the opening acts were blackguard from montreal who rocked the stage with wicked guitar solos and metal vocals and then threat signal out of hamilton who had both growls and clean vocals. they were both great opening bands! Then out came Epica. flawless set, great stage presence and Simone's voice was incredibly awesome as was Mark's. this has been by farrr my favourite metal concert ive been to... if you get the privilege to see them i promise you will not be disappointed!

It was my first time hearing Epica and from the first song I fell in love. They were amazing. I am so glad I went to see them and just wish the night would have lasted longer.

  • Epica concert at Toronto Mod Club

by FrolFrodo on 2010-02-02Mod Club Theatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

That was outstanding event. Concert hall was small so it was almost like private event. There was possibility to be close to the scene. Musicians was very public friendly. there was too nice bands at warm up. To my understanding Epica now doing promotion tour in Canada, so guys do not miss it! It is grate opportunity to see your favorite band at a hand distance for very little money! V.I.P. tickets include signatures of all band members. And there was possibility, personally ask them any question and take a pictures together with them.

  • Best Epica Cocert So Far

by Kureegu on 2010-02-02Mod Club Theatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I've been to 2 or 3 other Epica concerts and this one definitely was one of the best ones. The VIP tickets were definitely worth the money. The meet and greet was nothing special, but definitely worth getting early entry into the club. Opening bands were pretty good as well. Alot of energy.
