  • Fun

by Jallot on 2012-11-05The Opera House - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

It was greate, I just loved that you can go anywhere in the venue and see the band up close, see them having fun and interact with thier fans. The 3 main bands wher great, setup for the stage was quick greate stage crew, but a problem I had with the venue was the sound quality with vocals. Simone I found was hard to clearly hear what she was singing. I don't know that it's a problem with the venue, or the people mixing. In conclusion, it was great, best show I had ever went to, it was cheap, and in walking distance from my home.

  • one feeling, one rating : AMAZING!

Best Halloween ever. Magical night with most of the audience and Alestorm wearinf costumes and great music delivered by Alestorm and Epica. Epica is on their way of becoming #1 symphonic metal band (Tuomo is a better composer but lack of adequate vocals is a major drawback for Nightwish nowadays) and they've proved it in front of an audience pumped and exhilarated. Excellent sound and light show (not too camera friendly though but ...). Epica band members seemed quiet involved with the audience and there was a two way dialogue throughout their performance. This show was quite a treat that will be remembered for years to come.

  • A great variety of metal !!!!

Awesome evening with different styles of metal. Melodic death metal, trash metal, symphonic power metal and drunken pirate music.

  • Epica with Blackguard

by Bleedsblue on 2010-02-17The Starlite Room - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

This was the 3rd time I have had the pleasure of seeing Blackguard now, and for anyone wondering who the next big metal act will be... look no further than this band. A high energy show, great rifts, and a band that shows they are having fun. The music just keeps getting tighter and tighter. Give them the chance they deserve and pick up their CD. Epica... was more than I had hoped for. Jansen's growls were powerful and Simone's vocals lit up the room. This band came to entertain and entertain they did. Playing tracks from the new CD as well as old favorites, Epica kept everyone energized and wanting more. They played to approx 200 people but they performed like it was 2000. I would jump at the chance to see either of these bands again in a heartbeat

show was awsome, band preformet every song perfect, very exciting to watch, lots of good energy.Simone's singing was flawless. She's the real deal-no digital enhancements in the recording of their cd's, she had tons of power and perfect tone and pitch. amazing!
