That was an amazing game!!! The atmosphere was Great! the spirit and the support for our team Unbelievable!!!!!!!
It was back and forth between teams and the chances were exciting, passing by both teams was great. There were calls that were missed but I guess that could be said by both sides.
a great time at the stadium! family really liked it!
Enjoyed the overall experience of attending a women's world cup game. It was the second game i attended in the tournament. The biggest problem were the concession stands, there were enormous lines, 30 mins to get a slice of pizza, ran out of chips and popcorn, there was not enough staff and many of the food stands were closed.
It was the biggest attendance in montreal for this tournament. A sea of red white and blue in the stands. Germany's missed penalty kick by one of their top strikers was a sign that destiny would favor the hometown crowd on this special night.
Being Canadian myself and loving the persistance of the US women soccer team, I could not pass the opportunity to go watch this match. Drove in from Toronto tired but inside the stadium the energy was just amazing!!! Very good match and well deserved win for the US. Driving back to T.O for 6hrs after the match was not at all an issue since I was still on that energy rush! Many Canadians like myself were at the stadium cheering for our neighbours and I'm happy to see that.
Germany played terrible and deserved to loose. How did they get that far? How can you miss the net, with a penalty shot. Canada could have beaten the US.
The first half was quiet. Too quiet. Then we scored and the roar was deafening. It went on for a good minute. Everyone just let it all out. Full on scream. I'll never forget this.
We have never had an opportunity to attend a FIFA event and it was a great experience. Cheering for the women and watching the great plays made it all so much fun.
54 000 proud people were waiting for this game where our team was not able to show finally why Canada plays quart-finale. I was completely disappointed with performance (no result, you can lose but you should show that you WANT WIN). ok, one D woman made mistake (it happens) and England scored, but the same player was shaken all game and made a few comparable mistakes playing just with CAN goalie and as so. Coach is there to see that she was so shaken and scared to make mistake that HE SHOULD SEND somebody who is not... When we are down 0-2, we cannot play with OUR GOALIE but to try to score goals - our coach was not apt to do something = to coach the team to play less defensively. He doesn't understand THE Canadian mentality and so we should watch for OUR own COACH - eventually somebody from Quebec where W soccer in Canada is the best. I was in BC place for 3 games and saw a few more by TV AND I LIKED SWISS, when they were down 0-1 ag. Japan (Champion) they were better team all second half and got a few good chances. They lost but they were excellent, same ag. Canada, Swiss was better team - you can lose game but to show almost nothing when 54 000 people are standing up is DISAPPOINTING - it is not one mistake by player but it is BAD COACHING - POINT !!!!!
Energy, energy and more energy. Fun fans, a sea of red. Quick moving lines to get in Would have been nice if they offered something other then beer.
To be at a world cup game, and a quaterfinal match with Canada in their own backyard, was amazing. It was an awesome experience. Wish the outcome was different, but to be in the atmosphere at BC Place Stadium was one that I have never experienced. It was also my first time watching soccer live.
Disappointed! I do not recommend the seat. Disappointed! I do not recommend the seat.Disappointed! I do not recommend the seat. Disappointed! I do not recommend the seat.
Great to see so much support for OUR team! Never though we could put 55,000 in the stands for soccer. Too bad our team is short about 2 players to really be a contender.
The venue was perfect and the atmosphere charged with excitement. It was an honour to be part of the sea of red and white watching our Canadian women play on home turf. The crowd was loud and encouraging. Our seats gave us a great vantage even though sitting down was not what we wanted to do. The only thing that could have made the experience better - Canada winning on home turf and carrying on to the next game would have made the experience priceless.
I had a great time with two of my friends at 2 games at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup. Great atmosphere, and I was glad I could come to this once in a lifetime event here in Ottawa
Watching Canada play in a World Cup Quarterfinal was thrilling. The 54,000 + crowd was electric! Even though the result wasn't in our favour, it was a great afternoon out!
Canadian Women's team rock!!!! No one is to BLAME. it is the nature of a sports competition that one team wins and the other team loses the game but they are never LOSERS!!! The social media bottom feeders with their toxic view of the world that spills out onto our players are on the other hand....fill in the fitting term. What a wonderful experience. Celebrate the fact we got as far as we did. No host country has gone farther than the quarter final in the last 3 events. It happens folks get over yourself.
Really enjoyed the game and very happy to be able to enjoy games of this calibre in Edmonton. Thanks to FIFA for selecting Edmonton to host; great sport.
